Thanks yall. Maccabryd: I used a technical pen size .05 and wrote layers and layers of writing... mostly song lyrics. I slowly build up the layers to form dimension. MMG, both. I used a photo to reference but used a mirror to try to capture myself a little more.

Oh man! VERY cool! I absolutely love it. Do you sell your art? Cause you people would buy your creations in a second i think!

jazzyjerms, i have "sold" some pieces in an auction for Amnesty... but that is about it. I have considered setting up a booth.... but still haven't decided. you really think people would dig my stuff enough to pay money for?! that is a huge compliment. thank you.

I think yes. This is really piece when I don´t need to find right words to explain what I´m really thinking about. It´s awesome!

I absolutely think people would! Especially at Saturday Market.
    They'd eat it up! :)

maybe not self portraits, but I must agree, your pieces would sell! (what I mean by that, is I'm not sure people would want a self portrait of the artist... This piece was awesome... )

Wow, that is so awesome! Your technique is really interesting and I always admire people that can do self portraits... I always find them to be really hard to do. I love how unique yours is :)

haha. Yeah... I don't think people would buy my work if it was of me. I probably could make some portraits of some famous people and sell them.... or even prints of them. hmmmmm. i'm not too concerned with selling my work, but the extra cash would be nice. thanks for the confidence boost yall. =]

don't kid yourself, it looks crazy good...

and i'm sure people would buy your art... however i think celebrity art is kind of a cop out for such a talented girl like you. im sure there is much more interesting subject matter than the faces of people who appear in the gossip column.

You are right. I shouldn't compromise my artistic ability just to sell a few pieces. Besides, I hate the gossip column, so why would I even want to draw people i hate?
