Kidulthood, Adulthood, Rise of a Footsoldier and Accelerator...well Accelerator isn't really a gangster movie...actually its not at all but my friends step-dad wrote it and its fuckin great

 

I like Boyz in the Hood but it was easily eclipsed by ...

I just finished watching New Jack City.

There is not one boring minute of that movie.

 

Im watching it now, im in abotu 20 minutes..The chick and the dude are crazy as shiy though

For some reason I've never been into gangster movies.
My parents love them, though

 

I can't belive no one has yet mentioned the Coen brothers' second movie Miller's Crossing. Also the directer's cut of Once Upon a Time in America, 4hrs long but worth it.

 

Donnie Brasco, Scarface, Blow, Godfather I & II, Goodfellas, the Departed, Rise of the Footsoldier, Boondock Saints, Public Enemy, are some of my favorites. I know I'm forgetting a few tho

 

Scarface always pwns, but I also like Godfather 1 and 2. Goodfellas is decent, as is Casino.

If any of you haven't seen Blood In, Blood Out, then I suggest you watch it.

 

I found Belly with Nas and DMX at Ocean State Job Lot ( a discount store here in New England) for $2. I used to have the soundtrack which I should replace soon (good). It's an ok movie with the thrill of ghetto drug slinging movin up to the big time.
Also, State of Grace is awsome. Irish Mob in New York with Gary Oldman and Sean Penn.
And Hooldlum is cool too. Dice shootin' brothers during prohibition.

 

Yeah man, Belly is pretty good. I haven't seen that shit in years.

 

Nas's acting is absolutely horrible in Belly lol

Yes! That movie is amazing. I forgot all about that shit.

 

I watched American Gangster for the first time a few weeks ago.It reminded me of Blow with the depressing ending.I need a Godfather marathon day sometime soon.
