I put this under LSD but it really applies for any type of trip. What are the pros and cons of tripping during the day vs. night. Most of my trips have been at night because it is easier to hide the fact that I'm tripping form people who do not need to know, however I find that when I'm trippin during the day, especially out in public where I have to interact with regular people to be incredibly trippy. I do think night has really good visuals though, city lights always look amazing, it's incredible. One time I was tripping and driving on the highway, got lost somehow i took the wrong highway and eventually ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere sortof. I got out and laid down on the ground and looked up at the sky. Usually when I look at the sky tripping or not I can see very few stars, and you can't make out constellations; but in this case I had been lost long enough that I was far enough away from the city and its light pollution that I could see a lot of stars. I can't describe it because its too hard but it looked fuckin badass. I was sort of freakin out though but I called someone and we figured out where i was and they brought me gas.
its all pref IMO. i like both a lot. it jus happens that i usually dose at night cuz thats wen my friends and i have time to do it. wen i trip alone tho i always end up dosing during the day its weird. with ppl its at night and alone its day time. daytime trips are so warm and fuzzy for me. night time things get crazy. the freaks literally do come out at night lol
It's true that tripping both during the day and night have their own charms. I think for the most part, though, I prefer the daytime. I've had different kinds of trips on numerous occasions both day and night, alone and with people. I find that visuals during the day are much more vivid, and often more massive in "scale". Especially since there is always a lot of sun where I live, the world's just a sea of light, color, and sound. At night visuals don't appear to the eyes as obviously. The absence of light and sound seems to cause the trip itself to present itself much more subtly, but by the same token more intensely, in some aspects. It's easy to appreciate what both kinds of experiences have to offer but as far as "general funness", I like the daytime.
Day = more visual due to sunlight Night = more mental due to lack of visual stimulation (Depends really)
Day, by and far. If I dose past like 5pm I won't be able to sleep until the next night which kinda sucks. But also because everything is a lot more colorful and there are more things to do. Although at night, tripping at a rave is the shit especially mixed with a roll or whatnot.
what I have done once or twice is wait until that perfect time in the evening where I will be coming up while it is still daylight but changes to nighttime as I progress through the trip. Unfortunately I never have that fine of control over the exact time I can score, and have't had the will power to score earlier or the day before and save it, I always take it pretty much immediately.
I usually don't take LSD till after midnight. So I usually get half night(dark morning) and half day(light morning).
Definitely day. It's easier to go for walks in the bush and stuff. Earlier is better because once it gets dark, it can make you come down a lot. I also don't like getting tired and having to sleep when I could be using the very last of the trip.
Night, it is more silent at night, the world is sleeping, you can go deeper. The colors are richer too, like a watching a movie in the dark. Day is good too though. If it is really sunny day then it is great. Day is good for exploring the outer world. Taking walks in the woods and being one with nature is greatness.
upon further thinking about this I don't really think either one is necessarily better, but I think all trips offer something unique.
My friends opinion is that tripping outdoors is a must, its always well planned and connecting w nature and marveling at its beauty can only be done during the day. Plus who wants to feel cracked out?
both are fuckin awesome. sitting around a campfire by yourself in the woods at night is fuckin awesome. during the day everything illuminated by the sun is fucking awesome. its a win win...
it seems to me that the psychedelia really comes out at night. like if i start tripping during the day, and it becomes dark...i just start to feel more "trippy." the visuals seem more pronounced in the dark. but i like daytime tripping too.
