Cambridge Union debated the motion 'This house would overturn the hunting bill'. The bastard conservatives won by five votes. Still it doesn't make much difference, what's done is done. The only thing that troubles me, is the argument that using the Parliament Act in this way in unconstitutional, and the issue will be taken to the High Court. I seriously hope the ban stays in place....
I had a ticket for Question Time last night but couldn't be bothred to go as was pissing down. Then I saw that twat from the Cuntryside Alliance was on.....how pissed off was I?
I used to live in Rutland so I know the quorn Hunt. Really pleased that is now illegal (from feb). As a former hunt sab I wonder if the Police will treat them like they did us now they are 'breakin the law'. Bear baiting, dog fighting, cock fighting (bolton where i live used have its own cock fighting pit) have been made illegal and mostly confined to history as this should be now. Oh and I hate the quorn hunt , soon be hated in the past tense. The great thing about the Countryside alliance is that there arguments are so weak its untrue and most of the top brass in there are from that bastion of rural life that is London. Just a bunch of so called 'top people' who are used to getting there own way. Anyway rant over.
Yeah, this is an interesting question, isn't it? If the bastard try and carry on hunting, can you imagine how much fun sabbing is gonna be with the law on the right side?
Hi Dok Yeah it should be interesting. We have a hunt up here called the rivington hunt, a couple of years ago me and my wife were walking on New years day in the countryside near here breathing in the cool winter air and talking about the new year when these braying no marks come riding along in there silly red clothes. It sort of spoilt the day. But if i see them after next feb I will be on the phone to the cops straight away reporting that a criminal act is taking place and demanding action.
LONG LIVE LIFE,ANIMALS FREE IN THE WILDERNESS NO WASTE OF LIFE ,NO TASTE OF FEAR OF RED MAN ,BARKING DOGS IN THEIR EAR LONG LIVE FREEDOM LONG LIVE NATURAL questluv
Check out this 'Bumpkin Harrasement Squad' link from the Hunt Sabs Assoc, funny as hell! (turn the sound up!) http://hsa.enviroweb.org/features/bumpkin.html and http://hsa.enviroweb.org/features/sonsofb.html
This isn't really a thing to get complacent over. Let's all continue fighting for our animal brothers & sisters! www.cok.net/abol
I see you've got this in your signature: Biography: peaceful, loving, dedicqated to life qand dhammic socialism! Another hypocrite I see (and you can't spell either)
The hunt ban will be both unworkable and shortlived as the hunting community have vowed to fight the ban tooth and nail in the courts, through civil disobedience and to ignore it and carry on hunting. Also the Conservatives have vowed to overturn the ban as soon as they get re-elected which could be as early as next spring! It is a hollow victory.
You seem awfully keen for it to fail. I wonder why that is? They'll fail. Parliament is the supreme court of the land. Ummm..... we're all terrified. I'm sure that'll be a great success. Every sab in the country is going to be out in force with the law on their side. And the police have already stated that they're confident they have the resources to police a ban Oh please! You're too funny!!!! The Tories are in the worst state they've ever been in, you muppet. They're about as likely to get elected as the Monster Raving Loony party! I seem to remember you saying a short while ago that the ban would never even make it onto the statute book. You were ful of shit then, and you're full of shit now.
But there are only about a thousand hunt sabs across the whole of the country, they will be overstretched. Oh and another reason why it is a hollow victory; hunting is still legal in Ireland. All those Irish Republicans like Micheal Collins must be turning in their graves now.
I think you might find the ranks expanding a bit. I think I'll be dusting off my wellies for a start What the fuck are you rambling on about? What the fuck's Ireland got to do with it? Are you saying we shouldn't celebrate a ban because hunting isn't banned everywhere in the world???? You're weird.
What the fuck has Ireland got to do with the UK? And please don't use great men like Collins to represent your infantile rantings.
