Hey everyone...I was just wondering if anyone on here has taken Yaz/Yasmin or used the Nuva ring and had any problems? I used Yaz and had to have my gall bladder removed...if you have any input let me know...
O wow. i was on Yaz about 2 years ago for a little over a year. it just made me like crazy moody but everything else was fine with it.
My doctor wanted to put me on yaz but i told him no because i heard of a bunch of serious problems from it.
i saw a lawyer commercial on tv the other day that will sue them for you, apparently lots of people have had horrid side effects and even death as a result from taking it.....
I've seen that same ad. The drugs they tell you can take, mess you up more then the illegal ones I swear haha
my girlfriend has been on Yasmin the last 2 years (she's 18 now). She has certain times every few weeks where she constantly getting headaches, heartburn, sore stomach, nausea. I dont think her breasts have gotten any bigger, but she definatley is less interested in sex than she used to be, these are what we assume, side effects of the pill. I've been reading up on it since i seen this post awhile ago, and told her my findings. She's going to go to the doc tomorrow and see about changing it. Can anyone recommend a decent brand of pill which should have less side effects (i know its impossible to have none, unless you're really lucky!) Thankee
I was supposed to start Yaz, but I'm trying Ortho Tri-Cyclin Lo. I think that's the name anyway. My family doctor and a lot of other women I know were strongly against Yaz (because of all the stuff in the news), so I switched. All the doctors at my women's clinic use Yaz though.. and no one's had serious issues, so I don't really know what the deal is with it. Based on opinions of pretty much everyone else I know, I'd say it's bad shit. On the other hand, my friend has been on it for a few months and loves it. Even the stuff you guys have said in here kind of worries me. Yaz will be my absolute last resort.
