I was in Oregon in 77 when my daughter was born. I went back to school and learned how to be a mechanic.Got a job and I've been workin ever since.Moved east in 81 and started doin carpentry.
I stopped drinking heavy when the kid was born and quit for good about 15 years ago. Only drugs I use are maintenance crap from my doctor. Quit smokin many years ago. To have fun I build clocks. Joints hurt, teeth mostly gone but I'm happy.I can find a reason to smile every day. I sent you a private message.

Hey all it has been a while since I checked in here. This is Chris wickwah now) For Itchey and all the others I was Gregwahs Partner. Red Head Candy was my sister. I brought her out to Boulder in 72 I think as things had gone real bad for her.

Also the Hit and Run guys Boogie Joe, Buddy, JD. We all hung togather as time passed. A lot of folks have been living life in ORYGUN, Nabor is now in NY and has been for a while (after the Alaska move) I see Chuck is posting here too RIGHT ON MOTHERFUCKER!! lol

I was just thinking of the first Holiday time I spent out in Boulder and I got stuck up by B-Ridge and the Biker Dude from Ward took me to his place for two days as we were snowed in up there.

As time went on Ava and Derry (ava is Daisy Mae now a days) used to let us crash at the student housing on the Colorado Campus. Later Daisy Lived up in my place on Upper Cow Creek after Sheila and Greg has it out and we left. She help Gregwah begin to get thinga going but it did not work out. Gregwah died on My place in Hawaii when WILLY fron D.C. area shot him in a Hunting incedent. I carry Gregs ashes with me still. Oly was my dog and Gambril was Gregs.

Hope ALL who made it are doing well as I know many thought we would never make it past 25!!! Some even tried to insure that we did not. Well all those here not only made it it seems that most have done dam good!! I see a lot of folks who moved on to SF and ORYGUN at the Good Earth site. Do not know where the New Mexico (The Sangra De Cristo/las Vegas NM) crew ended up.

May ALL have happy and full of EATS Holidays, pour a taste of what ever you are dringing (even if not liquor) on the ground for those who went before us, spit on your truckers if you are so inclined.

Sleep Slow and Eat as much as you can!!

I remember you Chris. It's been a very long time though.Early 70s somewhere. I also remember Gambril,I always thought it was Gambro though.I remember Greg getting stabbed in Peaceful valley, his spleen I think. Spike and Frank MF cleaned out the valley for that.I also recall greg getting that cabin in peaceful valley for me and Dirty Bob to spend the winter in.We watched everybody's dogs for them.Bear was the leader of the pack of nine dogs.---CJ

Yea I remember telegraph avenue but details are fuzzy of those days. I was almost never sober. In those days I considered Berkeley home.Only place where the cops left us pretty much alone.
Speaking of that have you seen that book "Telegraph 3AM" ? Got some pretty good pictures of almost everyone you mention.
Also from reports from people visiting, they have a pretty big crowd of street people there now.Just a new generation.I've seen pictures. It's good to hear from you.
    Oh yea,never been to Yuma.---CJ

LOL as soon as I figured you were Cracker Jack Ifrom the Handel I knew you were not CJ from yuma!! lol thus the second post!!

    Life has been a trip!!

Hope you do not mind a long post!!

    GREAT to connect!

I know about that book. That guy tried to take pics of a lot of folks but as you may recall we had him feed us a couple times and some of us would not let pictures be taken as u may re-call. Yeah Bezerkly was the mellowest place to hang with little problams from the law dogs! That was why I mentioned the EPPs (Earth People Park folks) Also that old Hog Farm house on the Oakland /Berkeley(59ave maybe??) line was a safe place to crash sometimes.

I think Creeps is in that book too?? But yes we were in altered states quite often! lol

CJXX Not sure you knew that Gregwah and I both got the Cabin togather at that time!!! There were two people living in it when we showed up and they said that they had "Permission" to stay in it. We told them that Sgt Peppers had the "PAPERS" for the place. They said that they had permission to stay there. A guy and his Lady. So instaed of kicking them out as they were afraid that we (me and Greg) were going to get violent, we told them"No problem we would just move in with them!!! It was just one room lol !!!

So they left the next day! I left Greg there to go back to S,F, about three weeks later. He kept OLY my dog for me then with Gambril his dog. We got in a fight (lol) over the dog food the night before I left!!!! A jug of PV and some quarts of Q45s may have had something to do with it! fyi Gambril is a state park in Maryland where we used to hang out when we were like 16??) That is why he named his dog partner Gambril

Yeah the getting stabbed in the gut with the tree limb was a drag and Greg got all infected with staff and we almost lost him he was brought to Bethesda MD. where his mom and pops lived and they got him into the Suburban Hospital it took like 5 weeks in there. I came back to get Greg as they flew him back from Boulder. When he got out, Greg and I found this guy who had a car, and he wanted to "HANG OUT" he offered to drive us back to Boulder. Later he left flying back to d.c. and we kept that CAR!! Greg was better!!

Yep after the Valley got cleaned out we got back and I remember the rumors about how the Violent STP family had run amock chasing all the "Hippies" out of the Valley!! lool

CJxx did you know that Greg was shot on the Island of Molokai? Since you were close to us here is what happened. LOng story but a catch up to let you know about Greg and me up to 78 when Greg Died.

I had bought a place in Orygun in late 74 and I got the place on Molokai by 1978 and since Greg and I were running Partners ( by 78 we had been running togather since 71 with breaks here and there) Gregwah wanted to take care of the Molokai place with his daughter Beenie. That was around spring of 78.

By 73/74 We had been living in busses. Butler and Nancy lived in my bus when Sheila and I went to Hawaii and got the molokai place. Eventually I moved our Busses to the place on upper Cow Creek in Orygun in 78 after Greg died. But back to Greg... I got the deed to the place on Molokai in 78. We went over to Molokai and Greg said that he wanted to stay on Molokai we had to take care of the two places now. Greg wanted out of the cold winters on the 108 acre Orygun place and Greg had had enough of the cold. So we decided to have Greg do the Molokai thing. First tho, he went back to D.c. For his little Bros wedding. When he returned he had brought back Willy from D.C. area and said he was going to go to Molokai to help Greg bump it out/fix the old house stc. about the 2 month there Willy shot Greg when they were hunting for Pig on the mountain in the jungle on an old jeep road. Greg died instantly. I know this cause I had to fly over to Identify him and I also took care of his cremation etc. I saw the body and the bullit went straight throught his heartfrom the side of his chest. The Story is even longer than this but I just wanted to update you about this if you did not know.

I took Beenie back with me cause me and Greg always took care of each others kids when we needed to. I had two sons at that time Ryland and Caleb who was born in my bus up in Orygun. When Greg died Sheila was pregnant with my third son(Tiller is his name). So we had Beenie and I brought Gregs ashes back and we had a party on the North Umpqua in Orygun and spread his ashes. I keep some which I have in a pouch with my Truckers.

At the Wake party Serens the Stripper Dancer MOM showed up from Colorado. She was talked into taking Beenie from Sheila and I (but that is another story,) She took Beenie from me and Sheila it was a very sad time as Bennie only knew Sheila as her mom!! It totally sucked and that has been a burden on my heart for many years!

But SHIT that is enough of that!!

Glad that you are above dirt and glad we have connected through here. Maybe we can get in touch via letter/phone/or e-mail...or here too!! Have a GREAT Holiday Season and a Great new year!!!

    Now adays I am wickwah

    Take care brother

Yea,I heard the part about you guys just moving right in.I didn't know you were there. I'm not sure but I think Dirty Bob told me the story. I loved that cabin. I heard that the local law bulldozed it. I never heard that about Greg. We lost of lot of good brothers and sisters over the years.---CJ

Hey all,Hope you had a Merry Christmas.I am doing pretty well for myself nowadays.A few quirks with my health but that probably can be expected with as much drinkin, smokin and druggin I did.Haven't done all that for quite a few years now. Finally gave up cigarettes to.No drugs for 25 years and no heavy alcohol for a good 20 years.Still light up the night occasionally but it is rare as I can't handle the hangover in my old age. :).

I live in Washington and have for the past 30 years. My son Jed lives here in Wa. and my daughter Glo lives in Portland.Cracker you remember my kids?We all lived in Portland when you and Donna had Jethra.

I worked in the orchards in North Central Washington for many years.Got to old for that ,moved to Everett to be near my mom and trained to become a caregiver. Now I live in with my ex sis in law and am caregiving her for the time being.

Just trying to take care of myself and enjoy life.
