What if we all have a bit of ADD, ADHD, anxiety disorder, social phobia, depression, bipolarity and other assorted goodies in us?
i think everyone does. i think theres no definite line that defines when someone has say ADD, bipolar disorder, etc. It's a continuous spectrum. When it gets to the point where its severe enough to affect the quality of life then they get diagnosed with it. I think a lot of people that don't actually have these things sometimes get diagnosed too, the drug companies wanna make bank. The newest one is "social anxiety disorder". Now the drug companies wanna market their antidepressants to treat that. So you're a bit shy...you must have a disorder, here take these pills it'll make it all better. Haven't people been using alcohol for exactly this reason for some time?
usually crazy people think they're not crazy...so if you think you are crazy that means your in the clear right?
QFT and candykid that's not necessarily the case... people like to say that, but there is in fact usually a prodromal phase of illnesses like schizophrenia where your perceptions change, but it's not a full blown illness yet. there are also various periods when you're "getting better", sort of like normal everyday ups and downs. during this time you may have some insight into your condition.
cheesusfockincrips.. norad was tracking a fucking santa clause.. now thats crazy.. how can they track something that isnt real? ... arguments please... someone send them some anti-psychotic medication...
Perhaps he means that if everyone one is crazy, than really, no one is crazy. Sort of like, good cant exist with out bad, if bad ceases to exist than good no longer is good, it just is.
I did. It lasted about 2 hours, at which point I had completely disconnected from my surroundings. Good times =)
ya, i don't get this social anxiety business. judging from the symptoms, i must have a mild case of it
People fearing insanity and pondering whether or not there sane or not rather annoys me. Because it's just an invention of American Psychiatrics in order to make money off of people. Going around thinking 'Am I crazy or not?' I see as going around thinking 'Is my outfit up to date and proper or not?' It's just another one of those memes that exists for no other reason than someone else was trying to figure out how to make a buck off you.
yay for crazy love. we love you too! we wanna have your babies and then give them up to be raised by republicans in spokane, washington so the babies can learn all the right ways to discriminate against others. (that's what "my friend Jill" is telling me right now to tell you because she can't talk to you directly)
great way to put it! have you seen websites? websites like webmd.com (or something like it)... they all suggest various symptoms that if you have "you should consult your psychiatrist." or even commercials like cymbalta or any given anti-depressant. CMON: "if you feel down, isolated, upset, cut off from the world, you could be depressed." but a lot of people feel like that at any given time.
No, that would make everyone crazy cant you see??? what would make none of us crazy is to see that it can happen to anyone... noone is incapable of hearing voices or producing delusions. its just that most have a tolerance to it...Wow like seriously i feel like doctors are starting shit with people cause the think the have the psychological power to do so. and the reason that its for the money has started to sound pretty convincing. what other way to decieve someone than to play the blame game. im done.
