Fuckin rednecks (if your a redneck don't click)

I traveled east to another state for Christmas. Once I left the city after a while it became pretty desolate. When I stopped to get gas because I almost ran out I noticed the rednecks. WTF is this shit. I probably seemed out of place because I don't look like a redneck. If I did I would kill myself. Rednecks are fuckin nasty. These were the type that if you called them a redneck they'd say "yeah, ahm a raedneck, and proouod of it too". I think rednecks need to go back to school also and learn how to properly speak, they don't use proper english. "Fixin'" means to repair something. Fixin' is not something you eat. And why do they like the confederate flag, to me that represents a dark portion of our history that's in the past, and should stay that way.

The Confederate Flag represents states rights. It absolutely does not represent slavery. Read what honest Abe wanted to do with the Africans. Grant (Union General) stated that if slavery was the issue, he'd put down his sword and fight for the other side. Why? Because he had slaves. Most northern states had laws to prohibit freed slaves from establishing permanent residence. The underground railroad ran right into Canada not the "north".
I'm from West Virginia, I have a whole bunch of guns, I love my religion, and I love my southern heritage. Call me a redneck if you want, but I don't think I look like one at all.

Make friends with the useful ones. But yeah, rednecks can get annoying when they are drunk and the only thing ive got in common to talk about them is hunting and fishing. It is hard to make small talk w a red neck when your not part of that culture.

The Confederate flag represents racism to your average American.

I had a lot of ancestors who fought for the South in the civil war, and back then both sides were fucked - it was mainly an economic war (and slavery was an economic as well as racial issue).

I use to have a full size confederate flag that my mom got me (she has a tiny bit of racist redneck in her but it has mostly faded away) - to small minority of people the flag means states rights and history and tradition with no racism - but to most it is a racist symbol.

I don't hate rednecks unless they are assholes - I just hate assholes (unless they have other redeeming qualities like intelligence and sense of humour)

and that makes me a redneck? i'm not originally from texas anyway plus i'm from the city so things are a little different. Yes there are rednecks in Texas...I'm not one of them. I listen to hip hop, rock, and techno sometimes. Not a fan of country. I don't go to rodeos either. When I finally get around to updating my sig picture you can see how un redneck I look. I just am reluctant to put up a pic of me because this shit is probably being watched, and I talk about some illegal shit on here.

 

Come to the south. I live in Tennessee, and a good chunk of the population is redneck. I know I'm not, but I have friends who are. I'm more of a hippie grundge punk if you want to catagorize, but that's beside the point. I just know that there are rednecks in every state. I've seen them. Go to Iowa or western Illinois, you will see.

The most hillbilly redneck, I mean, walking around with guns swigging 'shine and listening to good ol' country music people I've ever met were from northern California. One threatened to bust my head open with a pipe if I drove in front of their house again, and the same people shot the hell outta the back of my friend's car with a shotgun for driving too slow in front of their house, or as they call it, "their property" (it's a county road).

 

country music is so shitty it fills me with rage when i hear idiots listening to it there was this one song i heard and the guy is talking about how he loves mustard on his hamburger or some dumb shit and they actually put it on the radio

 

I like some country music, and hillbilly rednecks are interesting to me (at least to laugh at), maybe because I am not American.

 

I found most of the rednecks I went to school with to be very confused. They would be just as racist as the next redneck. They would drive a lifted 4x4 with this sticker in the back glass:
