So I just went to the dentist a couple days ago (after putting it off for a long time) and was informed, to no surprise, that my wisdom teeth are growing in and should be pulled. My dentist, however, seemed unconcerned and just said he could take them out "at anytime" and that it was up to me. I informed my mother that I would soon be needing my wisdom teeth pulled (since my parents would be the ones paying for it) and she was even less concerned. She said that we probably can't afford it this year and that it's not a big deal because she still has her wisdom teeth and has never had any problems with them. However, I am concerned because one of the teeth coming in is sideways and I'm afraid it going to start jabbing into my cheek soon. I keep trying to tell myself it's not that bad, but I'm really freaking out because I know it is bad and it's going to get worse. Anyone who has had wisdom teeth issues have any input? Anything I can tell my mom to make her realize this really needs to be done? She doesn't even want to go to the dentist to find out how much it would cost, or how much insurance would cover, so until my parents come to terms with it, I can't do anything about it. I'm trying not to think too much about it but really I'm freaking out. Any advice or input would be helpful.

    Touch stitch, dude.
How old are you? If your 18+ i'd suggest going yourself to just figure out the pricing, or if you have any care that would cover it.
Also ask your momma if she had sharp pains and any jabbing with her teeth, and if it went away shortly after they grew in. I do know 3 friends who had this problem and ceased to get those buggers pulled, and they are fine now. Sometimes it just takes time... painful time
I'm sorry about your situation... hopefully everything works out!
