Troll alert! Mike just gave himself away as a fictional character. There's no way a gay person would refer to loved ones who've died of AIDS as "buttsecks friends". He's a phobe fucking around with us.

You can't just go admonishing someone else because you are personally offended by a perfectly legitimate topic of conversation.

If you are that sensitive about the death of your friends from AIDS, then perhaps YOU need to isolate yourself from the world, not expect the world to step gently around you.

If you are only 29, I doubt that your friends were blindsided by this disease as so many of my generation were. Yes, we have all had friends succumb to this disease, some in devastating numbers in the '80s to mid '90s. And when you were just a kid we were going thru the prejudice of it being the "gay disease" and were doubly discriminated against because of that. (Go see the DVD And The Band Played On to get an idea)

That's an awesome movie. I've seen it three times. I've lost a lover (and many friends) to AIDS. And I agree that Silence = Death. Speaking out helps to educate people. And that can actually help to save lives.
