There's a sauna in the city I live in. I went to one night about five years ago but didn't get past the lobby as I was a little nervous about what I'd find behind those doors, I guess you could say. It was that moment of horniness and anxiety that you feel right before hooking up. If I had to do it all over again, I would totally have gone in there just to satisfy my curiosity. Even though I don't partake in it, something about cheap, anonymous sex jsut turns me on. I'm sure I'll be judged by that comment but I have been tested and am clean as is my regular parnter. I have asked him to go with me sometime but it's just a matter of schedules. I would consider myself very good looking and in shape so to be quite honest I may have been a little nervous about the attention I would've received but at the same time I would've loved it. i maybe it would've just depended on who I was getting that attention from. Creeps vs. Hotties. I also love being watched. I think if I decide to go, it would be with my regular and maybe put on a show with him while others watch and masturbate.

Its the ideal place to go if you enjoy being watched so you should think about going. I know what you mean about being nervous but loving the attention at the same time, i love the attention from hotties but i still find it weird that they are looking at me and i get nervous....i seem to be a magnet for the creeps though sadly lol!

I've been to a few of these places in my time. You'll find all kinds of men there. Some are there just to get off with no strings attached, and I've also seen guys who go to stand around and strike poses. Once in a very great while, you'll even find a conversation or two...but I wouldn't count on it. That's as likely as finding an opera fan at the gay rodeo.

Yeah, I'm a total exhibitionist. I think I would love the attention. I would be so fucking nervous thinking, "OMFG, I can't believe I'm really doing this!" Kind of that surreal moment, like, I asked for it and now I'm getting it type of feeling. God, that's the best! Where you're scared but your dick is hard. But on the outside, I would be thinking, "Look at me and all the nasty things I'm doing."

Anytime I'm sucking cock I always film myself with my camera phone then watch it at a later time and think to myself, "Wow, that's me with a big cock in my mouth!" Or I'll set up in front a mirror to watch the whole thing go down (no pun intended). So I think being watched by a few or several men while they pleasure themselves would be the next step in fulfilling some kind of filthy desire.

I cant stand saunas or bath houses. This is just my own personal experience of the saunas I have visited but the ones I went to stank real bad like a mixture or disinfectant, amyl and anal sex which is not conducive to feeling horny. In my experience they also tend to attract either lots of sleazy old men who dont know what the word no means or muscle marys who think that because they go to gym and own a cookie cutter body (yawn) that they dont have to do anything but stick their arse in the air.
The benches/beds etc were vinyl and there was a high chance of sitting or laying in someone elses sweat or sprog which is revolting when it happens. As far as the jacuzzi goes, well i guess its ok as long as you dont stick your head under the water.
As far as diseases go I presume that the men who go there are most likely highly promiscuous and therefore have a higher chance of having stds etc.
I found this on another website-
"many men used saunas, not just because sex was readily available, but also because the men assumed that almost all other sauna users were HIV-positive. Like online chat rooms or HIV support group meetings, saunas were thought to be ‘HIV-positive spaces’ where men had implicitly announced their HIV status simply by being there. This allowed men to have unprotected sex there without an explicit discussion of HIV status, but leaving them with their sense of personal integrity intact"

In the end it comes down to personal tastes. I stopped going to them about 15 years ago.

Sauna temperatures are ideal for incubation of the AIDS virus.

    Huh?

Whatever happened to "Silence = Death?" It was once a mainstay in gay forums. (Note: Forum is much, much older than the Internet)

AIDS is out there now but talking about it isnt going to make it go away while not talking about it will save us from the pain that took so many of our buttsecks friends away

Back to "Silence = Death" Not talking about it has proven to make it worse. I am an AIDS educator for a couple of decades now and hence, talk about it all the time.

You can't just go admonishing someone else because you are personally offended by a perfectly legitimate topic of conversation.

If you are that sensitive about the death of your friends from AIDS, then perhaps YOU need to isolate yourself from the world, not expect the world to step gently around you.

If you are only 29, I doubt that your friends were blindsided by this disease as so many of my generation were. Yes, we have all had friends succumb to this disease, some in devastating numbers in the '80s to mid '90s. And when you were just a kid we were going thru the prejudice of it being the "gay disease" and were doubly discriminated against because of that. (Go see the DVD And The Band Played On to get an idea)
