Question time: Why are my dreads getting so much blonder these days? everyones noticing It and I think Its kinda cool. Its It all the time In the sun or maybe lemon juice In my bicarb washes? Please educate BrotherMat

For the first month I palmrolled religiously, after that, zilch. They did they own thang

 

looking sick duude.

My mates hair went blonde to at the tips. We both surf and noticed it happened quicker in summer.

Go figure

Yer I really started to notice It recently when I was standing under a really bright light at my mates house, and quite a few of my mates at school had asked my If I had bleache dmy tips. I had really light brown hair before I dreaded and everyone else In my family Is blonde (natural, my sis looks like Marsha Brady). I didnt even think of saltwater, Ive been beach swimming a decent maount lately too

Thats probably the most interesting comment Ive ever recieved on my dreads. They do look alot different In person though

I like them. =) I imagine the blond is from the lemon juice and hte sun... and I believe you go in the ocean from what i have read in the past (it's early and the brain is fuzzy) so the salt water would help with bleaching them as well.

 

Never, theyre just gradually rounding off and flattening a bit now that aot of them touch my shoulders

 

Yer I thought It might be a combination of the lemon juice and sea salt

ha. the two dreads I have left smell funny cause they don't fully dry.

I'm growing out my hair and letting it dread again when it's really long. I'm gonna rip em so they're super thin, the fatties I had did not fucking dry.

 

why? thats so gay
