lol, hamsters fighting are funny

Out of a series of random incidents I currently have 2 hamsters

Hamster 1, Moonbeam, has been living at my family's house for a while, and hamster 2, Rusty, is a temporary tenant.

Moonbeam has always been free-roaming. i got him when i lived in university halls and he always had an open cage and was free to go anywhere that he could climb to in my room, and rusty has been living in the bathroom wall of my friends house for the last 3 months.

So i let Moonbeam run free in my room tonight and he came across Rusty's cage. They're both male, and i know male hamsters have the tendency to attack each other, but instead these 2 were licking each other through the bars and just generally being friendly, so I let Rusty out aswell and they went running round my room together like best friends. Moonbeam was even trying to mount Rusty.

And then something clicked in Rusty's mind and they started fighting. The way hamsters fight is so funny, they just end up rolling around each other in a manic brawl ball rolling around on my bedroom floor.
I had to intervene so I grabbed a shoe and tried to break them up, but despite the giant piece of footwear they were still going at it. then I knocked moonbeam away but he just darted back and started the ruckus again.
I finally managed to get Moonbeam back in his prison and locked the door.

Moonbeam had been gnawing away at a stopper on his tube non-stop for the next few hours and I didn't notice but he'd managed to chew a hole through a thick but of plastic to escape, something that he'd never done before. He really wanted the other guy dead. Needless to say he went straight back into his cage again.

hamsters are awesome. If it wasn't for my strong moral objections I would probably set up a hamster baiting league. funny shit

 

I had two hamsters once, Jack the Ripper and Tyrone.
Jack killed Tyrone.

 

They are pretty hilarious. It's as if they're being played on a video in fast forward.

The funniest part is when one dies and the other eats it.

 

Mescaline-- that's hilarious! i had two hamsters before but they never fought. weird!

 

i think dwarf hamsters get along fine. a few of my mates have more than 1 dwarf.

Syrians are little bastards though, as cute and cuddly as they may be

 

Chinese dwarfs are placid and lovely. Russians tend to fight a lot, and they occasionally bite people, but they're not nearly as vicious as Syrians. That being said, a Syrian with a nice temperament can be as loyal and sweet as a Labrador puppy.

 

haha i have no idea what kind of hamsters i had, just your typical what they call 'teddy bear' hamsters.
