Let's logically and rationally examine a few things here. We shall leave any 'moral' questions aside.

By the phrase "Create your own enemy", I refer to the efforts of the weapons manufacturers who basically are profiting from this war. Now, let's examine logic.

Do you win a war by recklessly targeting civilians such as our soldiers are being ordered to do? No. That will only incite more passion, more anger, more hatred. They are in reality CREATING an enemy which to fight. This is sickening, and yet so few see this logic. That is how illogical this nation has become. And who profits from war? Only the weapon manufacturers, who sit in their rich houses comfortably.

I used to have this real good friend, and his father was the vice president of Raytheon. They were a pretty nice family, although I must admit the dad and mother seemed a bit uptight, but most rich whtie people generally are that way. Sadly, I was socially ignorant back then, but, it would be really interesting to have seen what debates could have occured, had I back then this level of social understanding.

Humorously, his son once admitted to me that his dad had to take viagra, to maintain an erection, due to the stress from his career. So I guess God does have a sense of humor, to strike someone in such a high position of a death-manufacturer company, with impotency. How funny! By day he creates weapons of death, and by night the pathetic guy can't even maintain an erect penis. But enough of that ridicule.

I am not anti-war, or pro-war, or anti-american, and I'm speaking the things the average soldier probably wishes could be heard, that is, if they are free enough from their own blinding passion to understand the illogical way they are waging this war.

Now, is it really that far-fetched of an idea to propose that the power-elite complex created this war simply for their own profit? But sadly, the majority of the American people are so pacified in their social ignorance, as to be unable to understand logic anymore. And I think it's a safe assumption to consider our society a 'sick' one. Look at all of the problems in our country today.

America is basically hitting bottom, and not enough people are intelligent or care enough to change it's course, so, I'd think it safe to say that the next few years are going to be pretty eventful.

Americans have walked themselves straight into quick sand, or, at least been walked there, by their society.

And if you feel yourself unwilling to consider this possibility, then ask yourself, is this too harsh a reality for you? Are you still that much conditioned?

But they wouldn't do that! <---That is the reply I most commonly hear when bringing up such a topic... I think people are just too scared to admit the truth to themselves... Anyway, yes I agree with what you're saying...

I agree, the fact is most people are self absorbed in there own lives, the bigger picture does not break through. The daily routines wear people down. Most people are more concerned of making sure they watch the new CSI episode then there community or the world. If we don't break free of this media controled society and be independent thinkers its game over.

Yes, no joke. But I think it's too late. Perhaps any true intelligent person in our country should be calmly and rationally creating an emigration plan towards another country, if they are not willing to live under the ever increasing tyranny that is here in America.

Strange, no one has really replied to such a strong post. Perhaps it is too strong for them?

Thanks Sera. Now, what's funny, is that I have laid all this out in as logical as a manner as possible, and look, barely anyone replies. Everyone is still too busy argueing about "Why Kerry lost to that evil Bush", argueing about pathetic partisan politics in their own blind passion. I'm quickly losing interest in the forums.

When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought you were referring to how the American government creates their own enemies so they have a reason to go to war.

But, I like what you wrote.

What did you say that we didn't already know? I'm not saying that in a bitchy way, so don't get offended.
I think it's obvious to anyone who doesn't think Bush is God that this is the case.

And green, I'm just trying to openly say what so many are afraid to say. I mean, it's high time that we all just started stating things as how they are. Yes, America is becoming a police state, and has been for the past 30 years. Yes, the American government creates its own enemies, so it will have a reason to go to war. Yes, the American people are the most socially ignorant society in the world.

It is no secret that the ruling elite create wars in order to further their agenda. While the babbling masses are arguing over what color a state is or who should get married these souless bastards are gleefully destroying the planet. There are only two things they seek. Wealth and power. They simply do not give a shit about what 'we the people' argue about in our menial little lives because they don't even have a 'country'. It only comes to mind if it gets in the way and then they set their sites on destroying it. They will stop at nothing to get what they want. They are ruthless, powerful, intelligent, and they are organized. I would have to agree that one of the first steps in resisting them is to speak plainly of what they do.

So true, Pear. And let's put forth a new idea.

Does everyone notice how the media is running articles almost everyday talking about how Iran is making nuclear weapons? Well, perhaps it might not be that farfetched of an idea, to believe that we are going to war with them next. And the only thing that could convince the American public to support it, is if we are attacked again by terrorists of an unknown origin. If such an event occured, it would probably be easy to push through a 'draft' bill very quickly, and reinstate the draft. And all of this is hypothetical, but I believe it is quite possible.

The American public is so easily duped at this point that it wouldn't take much.

Well, I fully support the draft idea. Let the ignorant sheep go off to war. Let the gene pool of humanity be purged from their idiocity.

Yes. I predicted that not long after the elections, we would hear more and more talk of Iran. And sure enough, we are.

All one has to do is go to the Project for the New American Century website (www.newamericancentury.org). These neocons have been talking about invading Iran for the past three years, kind of like they were pushing for an invasion and "regime change" for Iraq since 1998.

Of course like Afghanistan and Iraq, they will need a pretext to invade Iran, and I know you're thinking the same thing I am.

If you only wanted to be rid of the ignorant sheep, and idiocy, wouldn't a voluntary military be more effective?

but then you can't choose who you decide are the idiotic sheep. I actually support the soldiers themselves, and wish them an uneventful tour. I hope they make it home to their families. The ones that should be out on the battlefield are the ones that decided to have the wars and send these brave, young idealists to risk their lives.

I am just thankful that none of my close loved ones are over there in danger.
