Please Help: Narcolepsy and Bud

I'm 15, was diagnosed with narcolepsy, and was given a mild stimulant, Provigil for it. This has no adverse affects with weed, I've tested it. However, my doctor told my mom "weed and provigil could kill me" although she said it "many kids die mixing street drugs with prescriptions." Basically, how does pot have an effect on narcolepsy? And how is it combined with provigil? B

I'm pissed off that my doctor told my already super anti-drug parents that.

i already did, if anything my high was just clearer.

im only taking 100 mg in the morning.

But in general how does bud effect narcolepsy?

Seriously though, I don't see how it could have any effect that would be so bad?
I would guess your doctor has been told: "Do not mix with any illegal drugs, for cause of adverse effects"; and cannabis is an illegal drug.

If you've tried it and been fine, I wouldn't worry too much about it, or maybe you could go back alone and question her about it in more detail?

 

the thing is that nobody understands is that narcolepsy causes sleepiness because its a malfunctioning of the sleeping phase... narcoleptics bypass sleep phases 1, 2, and 3 within minutes and then spend up to two hours dreaming, then go through the sleep phases, then dream again. Basically, I spend 40% of the night dreaming, which is 2x the normal amount. So does cannabis have any known effects on dreaming?

 

As far as I know I dream less when I'm high.
Or at least remember less.
