opiate euphoria intolerant?

basically ive tried codeine in doses of 240 mg, tramadol 225 mg, hydro 30 mgs, oxycodone twice both in doses of 30 mg. i dont know why but i never seem to get any euphoria, i get the full on buzz but i just never can understand whats the hype about opiates. not to mention i also get a huge mood crash after.

what does opiate euphoria feel like for you? would it be possible that im just unlucky in that sense because those are moderately high doses and i got the full on effects, just no euphoria.

Some people need more then others and codine will give you little Eur, try the oxy agian at 40mg orally... should do the trick bud.

 

Those are high enough doses to get high for most new/occasion users. I think there are two possibilities:
1. You don't recognize the high yet... "What it feels like." It feels warm, comforting, relaxed. Like a great robe just out the dryer and your favorite chair for lounging. With your favorite sex partner rubbing your shoulders. Nice and warm and floaty. You really need to have someone with you to teach you to recognize the high, internet won't cut it (same with marijuana, powder cocaine, some other drugs). So until then, you should worry about taking too much and not realizing it.
2. You are "opioid resistant." Some people don't get the analgesic or euphoria, sometimes even at very high doses. I believe (would need to research more) the side-effects are still there, including depressed breathing and, at high doses, death. So, again, either way, you should be careful. Basically, you need a real life opiate teacher (if for no other reason than to get help if you do OD).

 

For me, the effect is three-fold. I take it for pain, and it not only helps with the major pain, but minor aches and pains too. And it gives me that nice, warm glow, that enhances anything I may be doing, even sleeping. And on top of that, with the right dose, it makes me feel more energetic. At higher doses, though, I just want to sit down in my easy chair in front of the computer. But that's OK too.

 

Keep raising the dose I guess..

Actually that may not be a good idea. If you have no tolerance to opiates and blow 30mg oxycodone and feel nothing then I dont know whats up. Next time you try make sure you blow the 30mg oxycodone, or even 20 if you have no tolerance, dont swallow it. Lay down in bed immediately afterwards with the radio on. If I start doing things, actvities, right after using I will not notice much either. Best thing to do is relax right afterwards. I will lay in bed usually lstening to the radio, usually howard stern or music, for the hour or so rght after.

I dont get the euphoria rush much anymore but Ive been taking opiates daily for 2 years for severe pain. My tolerance is unbelievably high. Rarely I will get a noticeable rush and those times are great, and rare, and I donbt know what causes them.

 

yeah its weird i have very bad back pain and i never noticed pain relief from codeine or hydro, however tramadol and oxy helped the pain considerably. with tramadol there was pain relief for a few days.

i know what you mean about recognizing the high, it took me a year and a half till i could actually recognize the high from weed, i think it was cause of myself tho).

 

when opiates(oxy) are sniffed, the first thing i notice is that my vision is sharper yet blurred. a warm feeling starts at the back of my eyes and slowly encompases my whole body. the world becomes softer and more beautiful, empathy flows in my veins. i feel energetic and euphoric, yet sedated, relaxed and completely satisfied. At this point everything in the world is perfect and all i want to is just lie back and enjoy it.

Everyone in the world should experience this at least once.
I love oxy, we have been dating for almost 3 years now.

whats your normal dose? has your tolerance skyrocketed much from that long of use

 

My normal dose is 20mg of oxy without tolerance, or 40-80mg with a tolerance.

Tolerance builds very fast, after 2 weeks of daily usage I can barely get high unless I sniff 60-80mg at once. I usually binge for a few weeks then take a 7-10 day break to lower tolerance.

Taking 20mg with zero tolerance is better than any amount with a tolerance.

 

and you dont get any withdrawals from 2 weeks of daily usage?

 

The withdrawls i experience are very minimal. Runny nose, slight stomach pain, and irratability. If i smoke weed i dont even notice the effects of w/d.

It make take repeat usage to truly appreciate the joy of opiates, though after only 1 use I knew i would be using for life.

 

it builds up ... the first few times no, but after a few turns... oh ya your gonna feel like shit!

 

I've been on Hydrocodone since Nov. '03. Occasionally I'm without them, and other than an increase in the pain, I don't really have withdrawals. And I will admit that there are times, such as now, that I've gone over the prescribed dosage to get a more euphoric effect. Maybe because I haven't gone totally nuts with it. I've seen people take 10 Hydro 10mgs at a time.

 

I was able to get my doctor to perscribe 80mg oxy 3 times aday. The 60mg of the quick release moriphine 3 times aday for break through pain. That was also with 2mg(bars) of xannax 4 times aday. And this doctor was really strict. I was hurt bad (broke back) I knew this would all come to an end. I tried to cut it myself. Ended up with a horrible heroin habit. My tolerance was gone after the first time I injected oxy (1997) I did not even know you could inject for sure. WOW was i surprized!!! But I knew from that shot forward , I WAS IN TROUBLE!!! I was looking for this "warm fuzzy feelin" Ive been in a methedone clinic for 5 1/2 yrs now. TRAPPED!

 

Now how the fuck did you get the xanax ontop of that just for pain? in your experience do you find benzo tolerance builds faster or opiate tolerance? for me benzo tolerance builds way too fast for me to be addicted without wasting stupid amounts.

 

How/what are you taking? If you are just swallowing an entire OC40 without crushing it, its not going to get you very high.
