Alright, so my friend's sheet of lucy that he ordered LOOONG ago just came in a few days ago. So to test it out, me and some friends (I think 10 people) decided to take 2 hits. It was right after exams so it was just a matter of when we would all be free from work and other obligations. I personally would have wanted to take it during the day on Friday, because I hadn't had a day trip in quite a while, but it worked out that everyone who wanted to trip would be available at around midnight on Friday. I was a little apprehensive of tripping with a lot of people, and little did I know that I was only aware of about half the people that were gonna be dosing. But enough of this foreplay, lets get things started.

Three of my friends who were gonna be tripping with us were playing a short show at a really small bar at about midnight, so we all decided to dose right when they went on. Things got a little mixed up though and we didn't end up dosing until after they finished at around 12:30. Meanwhile, the other group we were gonna trip with had dosed already about 20 minutes before because they thought we had too. Me and one of my friends decided to head over to the house where we would be spending the trip. We got there about 20 minutes after we dosed and things were going alright, I very quickly realized that I didn't know about 4 people in the room, so that kind of put me in a little bit of a strange place. I was having a good time and everything, it was just kind of weird to be in such an intimate setting with a lot of people I didn't know, and the fact that I was going to be tripping balls pretty soon made me a little uneasy.

At about the 1 hour mark I started getting pretty intense visuals, but my mind was still pretty intact, I didn't really understand it. Things started getting extremely confusing, and it got to a point where I couldn't even really say anything because I was just way too confused by what was going on. I didn't know what anything was, I didn't know what the people around me were talking about, I was just thinking in my head "when the hell am I gonna start being able to hang with these guys!?"

So it's about 2 hours into the trip, and I'm still in my haze and am just confused as hell as to what's going on. That's when I notice this kid I've met maybe two times, Tim, starting to bug out a little, nothing too noticeable, he was just looking around a lot, got extremely pale, and just had a look of "what the fuck?!" on his face. That's when I decided that sticking around there would only lead to trouble and that it was a good time to get a little bit of fresh air, so me and a kid I had just met went out for a ciggarette; that's when the trip started to get a little bit more familiar.

This kid was awesome, just great to talk to and wasn't afraid to just start talking bullshit with me, I really owe him for getting my trip kicked into gear. We talked, looked up at the stars and then more people joined us, and I finally started to get out of my shell, and everyone else noticed it too which was really kind of cool. As I started contributing more to conversations, people were like "wow finally the man speaks up!" and that made me feel so welcome and I started getting into that familiar zone again! Then somebody said something like "man for a second I thought you were gonna end up like Tim" "Oh no!" I thought to myself, I asked them how he was doing and somebody else just laughed and said "why do you think we came out here?" My curiousity then led me inside where I instantly heard Tim's voice talking rather loudly, not screaming, but just frantically and desperately talking to the host Josh. I walked in the direction of the comotion and saw Tim pacing around the room babbling about how his brother was coming and how he just wanted to see his brother. I then realized I was witnessing somebody having a bad trip. I had never seen one before and was curious, but I also felt like I needed to help somehow.

I went over to him and noticed that the Wii was running with Super Smash Brothers Brawl on the screen. I knew he liked the game a lot, so I sat down to play and asked him if he wanted to smash as well. I figured I would at least be getting him out of Josh's hair for a minute, and hopefully I would be able to get him snapped out of his apparent fear so he could start enjoying himself. We played a couple rounds, which were visually incredible by the way, and he started to at least calm down for a while. He was still babbling about his brother and was saying things like "I'll be this character, my brother always plays as this guy" I had no idea what was going on, but I was enjoying myself plenty and I felt like I was helping him a bit, so I kept playing. After a while, I got a little bored with video games and told him I was gonna go outside. He got up and started freaking out again, I had never seen anyone this genuinely afraid in my life. He wa asking me things like if I wanted to live tomorrow, when his brother was getting there. Then with the look of complete fear in his face, he started begging for us to just let him go, he said he would give us anything the next day if we just let him go tonight. I hated to contribute to his paranoia, but we couldn't just let this kid wander off in the night without supervision, so I told him to wait until his brother arrived and then he could go. The dude's brother finally came to take him home and things started getting more loose.

At about the 4 hour mark, my other friends arrived and I was so overcome with joy to now be with people that I was really familiar with in the psychedelic mindset. That's when the host started playing his movies that he had prepared for the evening. He had compiled a bunch of music videos of mostly dub-step and hard electronic music, and to make a long story short, my mind was blown. I saw things I had never seen, heard things I had never heard, synesthesia was abundant as I could see the music around me, the color red had a sound, a character, it's so hard to describe it now, but it felt so ordinary then, "what other way could this be happening?" I thought to myself. After the music videos for about an hour, we decided to watch It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which I am still convinced was meant to be watched on acid. I was laughing so hard I couldn't stop, I thought I was never going to stop laughing! Things were so great, and everyone was on the same wavelength, I wanted the night to last forever!

Fast forward to about hour 7. A few of the trippers had walked home and it was just me, my four friends and of course the host. We had run out of activities, so we decided to walk down to Tim Horton's to get some food. I couldn't imagine what we must have looked like at 7 am to people waking up to start their day, a group of five college kids walking single file, laughing hysterically and talking nonsense, definitely not something they would expect! We arrived in about 15 minutes and ordered our food and coffee and exchanged for a while, the decided to walk back. The sun was rising and it demanded our attention, the beauty was indescribable. When we got back, my friend went to his car and got Zach Galifianakis: Live at the Purple Onion. We also decided to smoke some bud beforehand to enhance the experience a bit. I was still trippin' pretty good and the weed got things rolling even better. The DVD was hilarious, and it was about hour 9, so I decided that it was about time to roll out. Me and my friends called for a ride, and then chatted a while in my other friends' apartment. This was probably the most important time of my trip.

We started talking about Charles Manson and how he used acid to convince his followers to commit the crimes that they did. I was always under the opinion that it was the drug that was a catalyst in making those people believe in what Manson was saying. As I voiced this, one of my friends laughed saying "it's not the acid, people are stupid and will believe anything if they're convinced that the person is honestly telling the truth." That's when it hit me, he was exactly right, Manson definitely used acid as a catalyst, but it wasn't the reason why they believed him. Then I started thinking about cults and how they have lured so many people in without use of drugs. Then I thought about "legitimate" religions and started asking "are they really any different?" I was always kind of up in the air with religion; never totally believed it, but I didn't totally discredit it. Now I can say that I'm convinced that all religion is just man made. I'm sorry if that's offensive to anybody, just my opinion. I still believe in spirituality, but religion has evaporated for me. I wasn't liberated by this though, quite the opposite; I was scared. Now what do I do? What other lies have I been told for my whole life? I wasn't ready for that realization, I still wanted to be in my ignorance, but now that I've realized what I have, I can't.

I left their apartment at about noon and walked the 4 doors to my apartment and tried to sleep, but couldn't. The thought was still on my mind and I was still shaken up about it; something I had been told all my life is (again, my opinion) totally untrue. That's when I decided to tackle the idea of what acid actually did to one's brain. I came to two possible explanations, it seemed that they would be at odds since they were entirely conflicting. Either it puts one's brain in a primal state in that, while I'm on acid, if I have a task to accomplish that becomes the sole focus of my attention, nothing is more important than that. The other explanation was that it was almost like experiencing what the future of consciousness will be, you can communicate on the meta-physical level, people don't have to explain their thoughts with words, they just know what everyone is thinking solely through reactions to events and facial expressions. Then it hit me that it must be both. When it comes to accomplishing tasks on acid, people are extremely efficient, it becomes the focus of what you're doing (at least with me), but at the same time you can have so many thoughts that you don't know what to do! Your body is on auto-pilot, accomplishing that task that is of utmost importance at that moment, which frees up your mind to think whatever it wants, which is anything and everything! It was amazing to have come to this realization, especially after I had, for the most part, come down. So essentially, this acid trip taught me what acid really was, but I have a feeling I'm only just starting to scratch the surface of the substance.

I hope this was a good read, it was good to get this out!

Sounds like you had a great time and helped someone out that could have had a very bad night. Acid is a very deep emotional breakthrough substance, I am glad that you had that experience :)

It's funny how Tim's is always the place to go when your stoned or drunk or both. I think almost all my mushrooms trips have me and my friends going in there at some point of our trips.

tim hortons. oh man. legend. ill never forget being in one on 2 hits of fiiiiiiiiire acid. i felt like i had tentacles growing out of every pore, and that my pores were smoking rainbow energy made of happiness, and like deep synesthesia, and wavering from profound euphoric elation to almost crying from the intensity of the love i was feeling . . . i asked my friend how i do i look right now. "You're high right now? oh, wow, your pupils ARE big!" ah, acid haha

Hahaha, yes Tim's was a great experience. I got a Fruit Explosion muffin, and since I remembered that I did it a lot as a kid, I chewed on the little muffin wrapper thing (descriptive right? lol) to get every last bit of muffin! Although this back-fired on me because I lost track of what was muffin and what was wrapper in my mouth, so I had to go in the bathroom and spit it out. It was hilarious because me and my friends and I always say stuff like "smoke til you puke" or "trip til you puke" and since I was trippin' face, I didn't think to just spit out whatever the hell was in my mouth into a garbage can, I spit it into a urinal. So after I came out, my other friend had to pee, so he saw my remains of the muffin and came out and said "you really did trip til you puked" and laughter ensued!

    I love acid!

Very nice. I really enjoyed the last paragraph, it reminded me of the last time I was on acid. I decided that the acid reality was the real reality, and our brains were just filtering our perception of the universe to what we currently know.

    Acid is awsum

Tim's (short for Tim Hortons) is a HUGE coffee and donut chain throughout Canada. Everyone in Canada knows what I'm talking about lol. That was hilarious about chewing the wrapper and spitting it out in the urinal, so typical to do when your on acid. I was on mushrooms once and tried to order soup in a breadbowl but the casheir was asking to many questions so half way through ordering I just out of no where said don't worry about it and sat down. Me and my friends laughed for a good solid half hour, right in the middle of the day too in front of like 50 people!

Hey! Welcome to the forums, you'll find that there are many cool people here that generally have the same outlook on life; that being positive. I'm glad you enjoyed what I wrote, I can't wait to hear what you have to say about your psychedelic journeys :D

And Tim Horton's is like a breakfast food chain in the Northern United States and Canada (as aforementioned). It's fucking fantastic lol!
