Has anyone seen this? I've been developing an interest in Iran ever since the [bullshit] election, and someone recommended this movie to me so I checked it out. It's fantastically animated, that alone would warrant a viewing. The story is great too though, and a lot of it overlaps with Reading Lolita in Tehran which I was reading at the same cool. Very cool film, highly recommended. It begins the year before the Iranian revolution and chronicles the aftermath, as well as that of the Iran-Iraq war. If you don't mind subtitles (or speak French), check this out.

Yeah, I love this film! Marjane´s family consists of very strong personalities, although I guess the Iran war and revolution had to jot down every of them strongly. It must be hard to live with these experiences again.

The movie has very strong mood, atmosphere or how to say. Great original animations.

I will have to check this out. My brother-in-law is from Iran. I met his father as well, he used to be a supreme court justice before the revolution.
