"2010" Ocala ...."Howdy Folks"....1st post

definetly planning on making the trip from daytona this year... I have a good feeling about this year, I can't wait to see the site.

Fork, the kid is right. We're Family and should get along but I will submit that it was wrong to come here and call me stupid. Yea, you show at Front Gate but not one single other High Holy sets foot near there. I've heard the story. You think folks like Clearwater, Breeze, Pappy and others don't talk about things with me?

Geez, I strongly dislike the concept of high-holies ... though there are several individuals I respect, not because others consider them to be, but that they don't consider themselves such and do the work needing done without comment or interaction in the related politics.
The idea that someone thinks they can speak or act for kin outside of
consensus, or that any tribe/camp is considered less than another, sigh...

That said...
Certain 'folks' have been messing with front gate and A camp in Ocala and elsewhere for so long that it seems to have become a tradition ... and some wonder why some feel animosity.
My personal opinion, developed o'er years of observation, is that those making the most 'noise' are usually those with 'reason' not to want feds walking the trails, passing themselves off as one of the local 'Mr. Green Jeans.' Chuckle.
I am a 'member' of no specific camp, an admitted solitary who has worn many hats ranging from parking lot to walking medic, etc. I've been around the kin for over three decades and don't claim to be anyone special, nor do I expect to be treated any differently, my greybeard notwithstanding.
Isn't about time for folks to 'quitcherbitchin' and just put energy into areas felt to be in need of it instead of trying to 'devalue and/or toss' folks?
It is within our 'diversity' that our central focus of strength resides...

More energy = less chance of something (or one) being 'naughty.'
(Don't mind me, I sing this song at least once a year, the shame is that I still have reason to.)

1st I thank you zen for all you do in here & out there OK!
i' have never said the word high holy or even though it. lol i'm only 47 .
I do council with them as often as i can . I am just one of a hand full that still try to make Ocala a legal gathering . alot of family has given up on making it hapen year after year , it taxed some branches of Florida family so hard over the last few years that they will only atened and will no langer put there all in ever again . I'm so sadined for the loss of so many good hearted folks We are looking forword to a vary Peace Full Gathering .
All the Boys are in contact with me all ready
Some are allready here in state. "camps near the coast"

It might be the history of Ocala and the actions of some of the 'high-holies' ego-driven media dances (and other situations), outside of, and in some cases, 'despite,' (directly against), conscensus that led to the Ocala get-together being so ill-attended ...
Sigh ...
Then there are the 'mercenaries,(both local and not), that have been known to attend ... drawing heat on all of the kin in general ... still, its nothing that can't be 'fixed,' overtime, if folks take the time to 'deal' with it.
Things always work out in the end ... such is the way of things, but the path need not be so hazardous, yknow?

We all know that politically the country is going to shit, so let's try to prove how people with the same vision can get together, overcome the bullshit and get things done. Seeing that Vision Council January 15-17 has not happened yet, I guess Farles Prairie is not where the Gathering is, but it is the site of Vision Council. As I said before, wherever it is I'll be there.This Upstate New York winter is getting to Me and I need My Rainbow Family in Sunny,Warmer Florida to get rid of My winter blues. Jeph, I CRS, but Yes I know Colleen, Wayne & Josh. So You are in Asheville. I spent a little time there. Still working on that Trike, along with a sidecar for My other bike. Just picked up a 76 Sportster that is My runabout. Much easier to handle than My big ass Suzuki Cavalcades, until I can get them more stable, with the Trike & Sidecar conversions, as I don't see Myself getting more stable.
I'm so looking forward to Ocala, as these Upstate New York winters get to be too much for this one legged Elder Motorcycle Hippy.

I've always wanted my own trike on account I can't even ride a bicicle. If I'm blessed to go to Ocala, I'll look you up I love front gate, making coffee or soup, myself I only have labor and my van is limping as well, need to get that fixed nobody wants to work on a 95 G-30.

Hope I see some of you folks out there, I'm sure we'll talk again
