A Problem with the Christian Religion

I feel the problem with Christianity and why it has so few followers who truly understands spirituality and god, is because the whole duality of everything in the religion.

There is you, then there is Jesus, then there is God, and god is split in three parts, and then you have heaven and hell, the devil and the angels. You have to use Jesus to get to God. You cannot get there alone.

This is missing the whole beautiful point of religion. That everything is one. That there is no separation between you and god. The lover and the beloved are essentially one. I am as much as God as you are god as Jesus is god as Muhammad is god. It is all one force.

I am sure Jesus understood this perfectly, but his message was lost through people's own interpretations.

 

1)God is one. He is not "split" into parts. God cannot be divided. You do not need to "use" Jesus, Jesus' death wed heaven and earth. Also, according to most Christians, Jesus is God--undivided.

Can you show this by citing any passages? Or are you just claiming this based on your own beliefs and trying to run down others for not being as spiritually sophisticated? Self-worship is essentially as bad as denying God.

 

I really don't know any straight up bible quotes. I didn't memorize them and say them wherever I go to make me feel better. I just read the parables and derive what the deeper message is out of them.

I know Jesus said "I and the Father are One". He knows he is one with God. What is not emphasized is everyone and everything else is one with God.

Jesus says "I am the way, through me is the only way to reach the father." What Jesus was actually saying is that you may reach his state of Christ Consciousness and oneness with God, if you follow my behaviors, and act with pure love.

Christians don't even understand most of what their reading. Everyone thinks "the word" is Jesus. The word is not Jesus, the word is the holy spirit, and the holy spirit is the divine mother, the vibratory power that creates and permeates all matter.

Then again though, there is the seperation, their is the father, the son, and the holy spirit. Which is this dualistic world makes sense in seperation. The problem is people who are actually trying to gain enlightenment through the christian religion. Your whole idea of separation must be erased. You must come to a point where all is one. The separation from you and God is mere illusion. There is no god outside of the self.

 

So really you do not know anything. You do not remember any passages that affirms your position, but still you hold them so closely that you feel the need to come here and evangelize. Good work.

Ummm, the Logos is Jesus. When was the Holy Spirit made "flesh". What makes you think it is the holy Spirit is the Word besides your own private interpretation?

Where is the Tradition of this belief? Or did you just make it up because it seemed cool to you? (Do you realize how honestly dumb you sound when you say that the Trinity [i.e. 3] is dualism?)

Why is separation inherently bad?


The unity of everything is not emphasized because it is not true.

Don't say "Christians are X" unless you have some sort of proof. It is insulting to me and all Christians who do take their faith seriously enough to learn about it.

What do you mean by enlightenment?

Are you Buddhist? You seem to say some Mahayana Buddhist things about illusion and separation, but your comments about an inherent "self" nullifies it. I am curious if you are or if you also just don't know about the religion you supposedly have.

 

I know from experience. Only through meditation and finding my own inner silence, Ive come to know God. Jesus' messages are very deep, he his messages convey something beyond words. I look into the meaning of the saying, and therefore haven't memorized any bible quotes, only memorized the understanding got from it.

See like I said, you've been misguided. "The word" is a metaphor for a vibration. "God's word" is a vibration, like a word vibrates with sound. The Holy Spirit is also known as AUM, the intitial vibratory sound of creation. AUUUUM is roughly the sound it makes.

The holy spirit is not truly made flesh. The fact that there is flesh is another illusion. Everything is actually spirit energy condensed to a slow vibration. Electrons and photons and nucleus are just slow vibrating energy. There is no actual solid.

Jesus is the Christ, Christ is the son. The only begotten son is not Jesus, it is the Christ within him. The son, Christ, is the intelligence of God within all existence. So the Christ is in the holy spirit, which is nothing but god's vibration within the father. So all is actually one.

If you want another source of this, read Paramahansa Yogananda's "The Second Coming of Christ." This is someone who is a God-Realized, explaining Christ, it is wonderful! You will learn so much if you read it.

Well by this belief in separation, you have only blocked yourself from perceiving this unity and oneness of everything.

You are truly mistaken. If you keep this attitude you will never truly reach god.

I am not saying all Christians, but their are plenty who are just there to make themselves look good. They don't give a hoot about finding God.

Enlightenment is the realization of God within you. Jesus said "The kingdom of God is within", "if thy eye be single then thy body shall be full of light." This is explaining that through our inner vision (ie closing your eyes and meditating on the inner, or third eye) then you can experience divine states, like the light and sound of god.

In the final realization, you realize you and god are not seperate, that you have been God all along. You'd but only need to realize it. Fear, beliefs, delusion, separateness are all coming from the ego. You must kill the ego to experience god.

I am not a Buddhist, though I think it is a very wise religion. It is based of experience, one must meditate in silence to find his spirituality. There is less reading and more practicing.

I myself pertain to no religion. That is just more division. My religion is humanity, my religion is life itself. We are all children of god. There is no reason to be part of any religion to understand that.

I gather information from all religions, from all scopes of life. I live for experience rather then blind faith. True faith comes from the heart, and is because of a gentle insight of knowing you pursue the matter through your own intuition and feeling.

When all ego is lost, there is but the One experiencing the One. There is no other.

 

So you admit that you have no qualifications besides your own ideas to read these texts? If you have no understanding of context, you are lost.

The "Word" is Logos, or Wisdom. words are not sound, speach is sound. i can just make noise, but it is not words. words also have meaning, to have meaning there must be knowledge.

Well if Logos isn't words, but wisdom, then Christ is again the Word, and the holy Spirit proceeds from both the Father and the Son (read John when he breaths the spirit onto the disciples).

I do not need to "reach god". God has come in the Incarnation. Heaven and Earth are wedded. God is accessible. in fact, I consume christ under the accidents of bread and wine every sunday thank you very much.

Here is the definition of the Trinity from an enlightened individual.

Holy Spirit - The sacred cosmic intelligent vibration projected from God to structure and sustain creation from its own vibratory essence. It thus the Holy presence of God, his Word, omnipresent in the universe and in every form, vehicle of God's perfect universal reflection, Chirst Consciousness (the son).

Christ Consciousness- The projected consciousness of God immanent in all creation.

Cosmic Consciousness - The Absolute; transcendental spirit existing beyond creation; God the Father.

Samadhi - State of oneness with God both beyond and within vibratory creation. Absolute Oneness.

Here is a quote for you, "Shall we then, being children, enter the Kingdom?" Jesus said to them: "When you make the two one, and when you make the inner as the outer and the outer as the inner and the above as the below, and when you make the male and the female into a single one, then you shall enter the kingdom."

That is the important of oneness. There are a billion people, but only one god. There is only spirit. One consciousness. Consciousness = Spirit. Our essence is this one spirit. We are spirit, souls are nothing but beliefs, we are the supreme spirit.

If you think you'll find God through material items you are again mistaken. You can think about Jesus all you want, you can eat bread and wine all you want, but unless you silence your ego, and look within, you will not reach god.

 

Again, the first quotation you post is mis-interpreted to mean something not intended by the authors.

The second is from the Gospel of Thomas, so I will disregard it.

Material things are good. God's creation was very good. Why would the creator of matter declare matter to be bad? What happened to your doctrine of oneness. Matter and spirit aren't one? Evil dualism...</sarcasm>

 

There is nothing wrong with material existence. It is the attachment to material existence that is the problem. One not recognizing that this is an impermanent structure, and only the underlying spirit is permanent. One who is failed to realize that there is no true form, but only spirit appearing as form.

Of course you will disregard all quotes. What makes them not legit? What was wrong with the quote from Thomas' book? Is he not a good enough source, or do you wish to not see the truth? You wish to walk blind for the Christian religion?

I'm pretty sure the christian religion must be god's favorite religion. I mean how many protest against culture, sex, and creed, have been fought because of the christian religion. Holy wars in the name of God! The hate of gays, lesbians, blacks, hippies, potheads, muslims, jews, mentally retarded, and many others. Groups like "god hates fags". How is this God like? How is this Christ like?

Religion has torn life apart failing to see the oneness in all things. A true man of god can not even hurt a fly. A true man of God has compassion for all living things. A true man of god does not believe in anything. He knows of God. God is a direct experience.

Why if we are all god can Jesus see him and not you. You have not given up your ego, you have not given up beliefs. God can only be realized through dissolving the ego.

The reason why you need to find God is because its the whole point of life, to return to the source. You come from god and you will return to god. Once you reach him you will live in eternal bliss.

Before I was saved and shortly after and even sometimes now(FYI I do not smoke pot any more this is an old username) I would study the Bible on my terms with my own ideas and turn it all into what I wanted it to read.. Why? because i was demonized to a certain degree and satan wanted me to believe a false doctrine and also to spread it therefore making me a falso teacher.. to be honest, I think this is what you are stepping into.

Have you ever been to Bible School(wouldn't fully reccomend it because some of it is boring and dry and sucks the Holy Spirit out but can be a good thing), are you under the leadership of a pastor or strong Christian, do you study the word with strong Christians, are you even born again, have you been baptized in the Holy Ghost(do you pray in tongues, prophecy, etc), do you live a Godly life?

These are some good questions to ask yourself and I appoligize cause I didn't actually read all of your posts so I could be wrong, but I just hear a lot of your own false ideas and opinions and THE WORD OF GOD in James says that those who teach shall be judged more strictly, so all of us, ME TOO, need to watch ourselves. and that's ok if you have some things to work out with your faith we all do, but before you spread false doctrine, check it with the word, with strong Bible believing Christians, and obviously GOD.

Basically from what I gather, the OP has an opinion and will cherry pick certain verses that make Jesus seem New Age, but ignore those that are clearly against his opinions.

 

We become one in mind and spirit. We don't literally become one.

God created us as separate entities. Why else would we be called Sons of men instead of Sons of God? We're sons of the flesh while the sons of God are Gods children in the spirit.

 

Who is truly full of self worship:

a: a mystic and truth seeker who doesn't know if he'll ever know truth or God, but is prepared to spend his entire life searching

b: a Christian who knows with certainty he has found truth and the identify of God in Christ, and so restricts his mind from considering any other possibilities

What if truth is not a fixed destination, but more like a direction, and heaven is what is experienced by a mind eternally moving in that direction?

 

Trinity = Ray of creation:

Thought - Word - Deed

Conception - Seed - Fruit

God speaks into creation his own image - The Son - The life of Man informed by the Holy Spirit.

God said let there be light, The Dawn of Consciousness proceeds all function.
The seed is broadcast, germinates, and bears fruit.

In body and mind we are but man, we are "made flesh". Even though there is no solid objects there is just slow vibrating energy, but anyways are souls are completely non-material, they are of the essence of god. At a certain point in the game the soul realizes it has never been separate from god, and the lover and the beloved merge back as one.

At the end of the game there is no seperation, there is no other, only god, only I am. Everyone who ever was is now just one thing, God. God is the beginning and the end, we were all one in the beginning.

All of time is illusion, we are all still god. The soul is a belief, look in you heart and you will find the one atman, the all pervading soul. The atman is you, the atman is brahman, you are brahman, brahman is god, you are god.

Let me make it clear. God is not you, you are god! If god is you, then that means god is human, and that is not right. You are god, all humans are just the shell. One layer you are human, another layer your mind, another layer your soul, and at the certain of everyone is god. Hes the middle of the onion, when you peel all the layers and nothing but the empty middle is there, the formless being inside you. Everything in the entire universe is an expression of god. An outer expression of the one inner spirit. It is nothing but god dancing, vibrations of overflowing energy dancing in harmony.

There are a million jillion different beings in the universe, and every single one of them, even the ones not on earth, even the ones existing in nebula 9, have the one same god at the center of their being. All of us have the all mighty within us, and that is very very beautiful!

 

What would you consider more loveable. A life long friend or an ocean of energy?
