Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.

The three, all members of the Navy's elite commando unit, have refused non-judicial punishment — called an admiral's mast — and have requested a trial by court-martial.

Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named "Objective Amber," told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it.

Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.......

Typical, the American soldiers who tortured Iraqi's get off scott free and meanwhile, these professional elite soliders, just doing their job, get charged? What the hell are we doing in the west? are we just trying to eliminate the most decent amongst us??

Yeah that's fucked up. Even if they get sent off on some fucked up missions sometimes, I totally respect our special ops. Those motherfuckers got the warrior spirit like all hell.

I'd say this is a dead thread.

But I'd also say you people didn't get it.... the seals where going to get off with a "punishment" that their commanding officers chose, but where so pissed that they got in trouble for capturing this guy that they demanded to be given a trial for decking a terrorist, to make a point. Then again, you do have to investigate things like that, because if you dont, abu-ghraib happens... like the article said. But there's more than a fine line between the worlds most elite fighters doing their job, then having the unfortionate lack of judgement to punch a guy who really deserves worse, and some privates being allowed to gang rape and otherwise torture innocent people for years in the prison we had supposedly liberated from that kind of thing under saddam.

Or thats my take, given that i live under a rock and never knew this happend.
