You're wanting to receive the internet on your phone and then relay that to your computer? I don't think that's possible. And if it were, I think it would be expensive.

It is possible. I don't know why you would want to do this though. I used the internet feature built into my old phone once. It was all text and yet still incredibly slow. I would think anything close to full-featured internet over a cell network would be too slow to be functional.

Or perhaps the technology is better nowadays.

I've never had a phone with internet connectivity, so I have no idea of the cost, or even how fast it is. I guess there are different plans available with different levels of usage. For my laptop I wanted something portable, so I signed up for a broadband wireless plan that allows up to 5GB of usage for $60 per month. That sounds high, but 5GB is actually quite a bit. I spend a lot of time online, mainly sites like this, and I still haven't gone over 3GB. You just can't spend all day watching YouTube. So the OP would probably be better off just getting wireless than going through a phone.

Well, just find forums related to your brands of phone and computer. You're bound to find something.
