I am very inspired by the work of Elizabeth Gilbert. I love her books, but I am more inspired by her outlook on life. She's so honest, genuine, and open about who she is and what she has experienced. It's refreshing. Anywho...I really enjoyed listening to a little speech of hers about embracing atristic powers and thought maybe some of you fellow artists would be able to take something from it as well. http://www.ted.com/talks/view/id/453
lol i am also too busy to watch the vid right now, but I WILL! it's nice to have things like that to go to when you get the blues. i was just an hour ago thinking about how i'm an unoriginal designer and a crap photographer and i will never be able to live off the arts. so thanks mandy! i'll watch it soon
thanks just having one of those 'i wish i was gottfried helnwein' moments lol. ironically, as i was thinking this i was busy posting off some of my buttons, which i designed, to people who had paid me for them. and that is my sole income at the moment. so i sorta am living off the arts. duh.
I don't think he became a great photographer in 6 months. Relax. Some people just take longer than others to get it. I've had my camera for two years and only recently started seeing improvement. ...There you go, living of your creations!
I do want to watch it too, love TED talks. 10,000 hours to mastery, I always tell myself that. particularly when painting or playing guitar. though a little inspiration can go a long way.
well the time it has taken ya'll to post here couldve been spent watchin the vid. lol. seriously though...good luck to you all taking finals!
