Aurora Borealis

The world is a lonely place. I'm restless and can't sleep. I try to surround myself with people even though I ache to be alone. But when I'm alone it's so much worse, my mind is etching grooves of pain into the psyche like the cutting of a record. I wish more than anything else that I was running through an isolated tundra screaming FUUUUUUCK! I'd stop every so often to watch my words cut through the silence like dangerous weapons. I'd stop and fall down on my knees, crushed by the weight of the world I'd helped to create. Did pride and anger bring me to this point? Am I numb or just in too deep to notice that it hurts anymore. Perhaps the ice has gotten to me. I may actually be frozen to the spot and not know it yet. That remains to be seen.

 

Maybe an understanding boyfriend would help. Maybe not.
