I can barely believe it, these months have gone by very quickly. I am pleased with my hair. So- Today at school I was standing with a group of friends and this man walks up. He doesn't work at the school- someone said he was a local pastor or something. He told me he likes my hair, and asked me if I wanted to know the greatest secret in the world for dreadlocks. I knew immediately where this conversation was going... We will call him 'D'. D-" Cool! So...are you going for like...real dreads??" me-"yes...(and assuming he was going to tell me mine weren't real for a number of reasons I added..) It takes a while, you know." D- "Oh I know. I used to have them about ten years ago. But- I got mine done is only one day. One day! Do you want to know the secret???" me-"Well I-" interrupted. D- "Beeswax! Beeeeswax!! me-" Nah, well-" D-"seriously. I had rock hard dreads in one day." me-"...." D-But they stunk after six weeks. You can't wash them, you know. I didn't want the knots to fall out. So after I enjoyed them for a while I cut them off. Remember- beeswax." almost word for word. He was so confident I couldn't even get a word in. I still don't know why he was hanging around my school at lunch... Also. I was watching Cats with my little brother and he wanted to be one so I painted his face. Kid couldn't stay still! Oh well. Felt like sharing.

where the fuck are all the redhead dreadheads in birmingham. There are like 1x10^6 on here or some shit. Also dreads are awesome, I kinda miss the forming stages when they were different one week to the next, I'm trying to cultivate a baby dread so maybe I'll be able to recapture that sense of childhood wonder, oh to be 24 again.
