The two symbols above and the two symbols below the four symbols are new The two up top say Journey, the four across say Trinity and the two below say Glory (the names of my 3 daughters). The ink is green it's just dark because it's new
It is nice and everything so don't take this the wrong way but why do a lot of people get chinese characters as tattoos?
In the future, when the US hegemony collapses and china is the dominant superpower, those with chinese characters inked onto their flesh will be treated preferentially to the rest of us chattel
Because it symbolizes, instead of putting long words on yourself. I have Love,peace, unity and respect, I rather have a Kanji then the word spelled out. Thats just me though.

lol, my friend Trisha had a shirt that she thought said "peace and love" but she was laughed at in a chinese restaurant. she later found out it meant "fish sauce." she still loves that shirt.
I just don't see the "symbolism" in using words/characters that you otherwise wouldn't understand had you not looked it up or was told. I don't get how another countries writing "symbolizes" anything.
Haha, yeah... it's pretty much an Asian joke on the Western world... I would say what the OP has tattooed on her back, but I really wouldn't want to make her cry too fast. Sure as hell will be a painful lesson in not getting stupid tattoos.
I dont know, Like I said Thats just me. I have many Asian friend, and I got the kaji's when I turned 18. My uncle also lives in japan. I myself have just always loved the Asian culture. Like why do people get the Sugar Sculls tattooed on them when it stands for day of the dead, and there not mexican. People just get whatever they want tattooed on there body's i guess,you just get what you think looks good to you.
I think Eastern and Western worlds have these jokes on each other equally. I couldn't risk it myself.
