Ya I hear you sis. The thing is, it's closer than you think.. But it's also hard to find.. You just need to let go, and let Him take over. Follow Christ.. it's a hard path and few find it, but it's always worth it.
I'm a Buddhist. I believe Jesus was a great teacher, whose teachings have been greatly distorted by the Church. For instance, the "Prosperity Gospel" is a complete distortion of what he said, yet many so-called Christians believe it.
Ya dude the cool and interesting things is that doing our best is not good enough. We need Christ's best and that is simply done through repentance and believing in Him. But also, if you truly repent it will change your life and your faith will manifest through works.. if you truly repent, you will get your life rocked and LOVE IT!!
interesting. but i dont understand the doing your best part. if you're doing your best, and its not good enough, does christ fill in the gap? I would think doing/trying your best IS good enough.
Hey man I don't really know where you are at spiritually with that username and like your comment.. But if I could tell you a story.. I had a friend who was into black magic, the new age, and like a bunch of other stuff.. He ended being demonized like crazy but some one reached out to Him with the gospel and He got saved.. He is still demonized to this day, but they come out little by little every time we do deliverance on him.. I've dont 3, and for real like eyes in the back of the head swearing and stuff.. it's for real. Check yourself bro, this ain't a game.
He was a great teacher, yes, but more than that He was the Son of God. I mean the part I don't get is, He claimed He was the Son of God, not just a prophet, not just a good guy. So either A. He was. or B. He was not Yes, you are correct on the prosperity gospel thing, and we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Also, all will be judged, but thankfully not condemned if we receive the blood of Christ. But also brother, this is not just about what these people do or those people do, this is about YOU and GOD. So forget about them, and really ask yourself, do you want to know God? bless you.
Yes, Christ fills the gap, exactly. People try so hard to do everything in their own power, not realizing were just dust man. So the thing is just admitting your powerless on your own, and giving yourself up to God so He can heal your life. bless you.
powerless to what? doing things around you? We're definitely just dust. but im not sure what you mean about people trying so hard. aren't you just advocating optimism?
You are powerless to saving yourself. Eph 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. You are made right by repenting, and believing in Jesus Christ. People try so hard to earn grace is what I'm saying. I'm advocating Jesus Christ.
