Anyone else like kava? I have been drinking kava tea for years, and recently I have noticed the prices on it have gone up. The Yogi tea company even made new kava boxes with less bags for a higher price. Wtf?

I get it from a health market. It used to be like 5 bucks for 30 bags or something. Now its like 6.99 for like 16 bags. And I always use two or three bags for cup so now I have to order it online or something.

i've only had kava extract suppliments...which barely had any effect at all and would have been super expensive but i got it for free.

i've always wanted to try the tea. an old professor i had was born in samoa, and she said it had effects mildly similar to pot when you drink a lot of the tea.

you could try buying the root as a whole and processing it yourself.

i get it at a headshop, root powder for $4 an ounce.

pretty good effects from a strong cup which would be $1-$2 per dose. cheap enough for me

i wouldn't buy those bags; it's sort of like extracts in the sense that they're definitely not the best you could do.

ordering kava root powder online from fiji or hawaii is probably your best bet if you can't find it anywhere locally.

I do the latter, though I would recommend it from Vanuatu. Always have had good potent stuff from Vanuatu and under their law it is 100% organic. I have had Fiji that was OK and Tonga that was no good, but Vanuatu kava still ranks the best IME.
