how good is the ocala gathering?

ive only been to one gathering in southern illinois and i got there late like 2 days after almost everyone had left.. im staying in the north east right now.. hitchhiked with my bf to see his family for christmas... anyway, my boyfriend and i have been having problems and im thinking about just catching a bus home to my own family in the midwest. i know my bf will be going to the ocala gathering.. so my question is, for whoever has gone, is it worth sticking around for? is it something that i defly need to experience before i set off for cold cold nebraska? also does it start before christmas time?

 

it depends on what you're looking for. the Ocala gathering isn't exactly a spiritual mecca. though you'll find some high hearted folks there, it's more of a party gathering, lots of A Campers and Roaddogs.

 

that gathering is in the sweetest of woods on Valentine's Day and for ever as long as you can bliss with kissing frogs

 

i went to ocala gathering earlier this year and it was okay i only stayed for a-camp..as most people will say it's more road dogs and a campers.. but truthfully anything is better than going home to stay put and get stuck..if your done traveling up there come on out to kentucky where i'm at i'm getting ready to make a trip to denver and then to arizona back to so cal and eventually up to humbolt

ive never been to that gathering but ive heard some bad stories about it sadly. and really wat part of the north east are u in? im in NH as well. i love meeting family
