I've googled but I can only seem to find advice on re piercing new nose piercings. I had my nose pierced nearly 4 years ago now, and had a jewel in it until about a year ago. It's now closed up as I lost the jewel and never replaced it. I've now decided I want it re pierced again as a Christmas present to myself as I've started to miss my old nose studs and nose rings. If I get it pierced in the same place will it hurt more or as much as the first time around (which hurt like a bitch haha!)? I am also keen on getting another piercing maybe another ear piercing, but I'm not sure where to get it done yet.
I'd think it would hurt about as much... was it your septum? I'm kind of confused, because you mention a jewel, but the nostril shouldn't hurt "like a bitch" to get pierced to begin with. So if it was your nostril, maybe it won't hurt as much this time? Since you already know what to expect...
Sorry, nostril piercing, I should have mentioned, rather than a septum. I've read that a nostril piercing doesn't usually hurt, but mine sure as hell did!! But it was over quickly enough so it's fine.
different people have different perceptions of what 'hurts' and what is 'manageable pain' - my guess is it would hurt about the same as the first time, though if you're lucky and the skin that's grown over it isn't very thick yet it might not be as bad if you liked having it in, get it done again - the pain is part of the fun anyway
I guess I have a strange pain tolerance... giving birth to my daughter actually wasn't too bad in terms of paint
just gonna say that my nostril may have been my most painful piercing and ive had many to compare it too.
"clit" piercings almost never go through the actual clit. the clit hood (actual location of the piercing) isnt all that sensitive and i wouldnt expect it to hurt very much.
I don't even remember piercing my nose. I was like, fifteen and did it with a sewing needle [Which I DON'T recommend doing, under ANY circumstances]. I got my hood done in August, and I damn near hit the ceiling, involuntarily, when the needle went through. Sucked real hard for all of four seconds, then... nothing. I don't think it was actual pain so much as just.. a bit of a shock. Unless you have a whole mess of scar tissue, re-piercing shouldn't be a problem. Healing just might be a bit longer than it was the first time.
I must have had my left nostril pierced atleast five times over. Each time it felt the same. I always felt it was the least painful one I had....felt more pressure than any actual pain. And the guy was piercing over scar tissue each time....but it felt the same.
The first time I had my nose pierced it wasn't too bad, but the second time hurt a little more, but I think that was because she wasn't very good and at one point I was holding the holds while the needle was through my nose! I miss it though, I think I might get it done again, but it will have to be in the same side again, as I don't want it on the right side,
