    yep and its complete dive, i wouldn't be to proud of being the lord of it, now York on the other hand, thats something to sing about.

    Middlesbrough is like Hull.........but worse.


    I will hopefully be off to Newcastle Uni in a few months though. About as north as you can get (Though I am slowly inching my way further and further from my beloved West Country :()

    So long as you dont count towns like... Morpeth, Ashington, Blyth, Alnwick, Berwick...

    There's a whole lot of England between Newcastle and the Scottish border. Its called Northumberland.

    So do you have to live in the Shetlands to claim you live in the north?

    Anywhere north of the west Country is what I consider north

    That's the point I was replying to. Quite a few towns in England more northerly than Newcastle, then you've got Scotland.

    They don't have internets in the Shetlands yet. They've only recently discovered carrier pigeons.
