I will hopefully be off to Newcastle Uni in a few months though. About as north as you can get (Though I am slowly inching my way further and further from my beloved West Country )

 

What's north about Newcastle? The island is obviously larger than you're aware of.

 

Maybe (If I wasn't born in Aberdeen that is)

So long as you dont count towns like... Morpeth, Ashington, Blyth, Alnwick, Berwick...

There's a whole lot of England between Newcastle and the Scottish border. Its called Northumberland.

Anywhere north of the west Country is what I consider north

 

That's the point I was replying to. Quite a few towns in England more northerly than Newcastle, then you've got Scotland.

 

They don't have internets in the Shetlands yet. They've only recently discovered carrier pigeons.
