So this summer I am planning a month long road trip across the United States to make a documentary about substainable living and activism via communal living. I am planning on just staying in communes for the most part and have composed a list of about 50 from a website. But, I know word from people who have visited them or lived in them is better than things I find on the internet. So I was wondering if anyone knew any really welcoming places and people who would be willing to participate? Thanks! Peace&Love, K
Do you realize that you're going to have to visit about 1.3 communes a day to make that a reality? Unless you're trying to visit only a select few. You know what would make this documentary beyond awsome? Collecting data on....... 1.) $$$ pricing of food and housing at commune. 2.) $$$ it would cost to be independent and live the same lifestyle (taken from local sources of course)
Well, I don't plan on visiting them all. I'm trying to do extensive research on each to pick the best ones. And your idea is awesome! I will definitely have to do that!
I've read about them... they seem really awesome, and they have Youtube videos on making earthen plaster housing.
