if your going to Reno they have hotels that rent by the week check on 4th street--it was a less than 1000$ a month but it was awhile ago--youd have to do a little calling around to see what prices are nowdays----i love hotel living btw and if its just a month its all good
So heres the situation. I can call this girl back she seems like shes 25-26 yrs old, She needs to pay rent for this month so i would have to pay 300 dollars for this month even though i won't be there till the 26th. It sounds like it is a nice place with a nice view. The other place seems like its just an average place but chill. I can't decide which one to do. I am thinking towards the 56 year old lady because its cheaper by about $500 but i plan on deciding by tonight mabey by tomarrow. I do plan to ask the 26 yr old if i could get a discount if i'm paying 300 bucks just for saving me the room. What you guys think?
dont pay 300 just to save the room... tell her she can take it or leave it on move-in day. its not your job to pay her rent when you're not living there. if you're only gonna live there a month then i expect you have to pay upfront anyway, plus a deposit that youll get back unless you break a bunch of shit. i know this isn't what you're asking about, but here's a story... my friend Paul checked himself into rehab a while back... and and was in and out of rehab, living on the street. then one day he checked into a new rehab clinic that set him up with a sober house. after he got out of rehab he lived in a house with other addicts of varying degress of sobriety. the city kept the place rent control and it was basically a short term rental for alcoholics getting their shit together. he only payed 200$ a month for a bed in a room that was already furnished, all utilities included. he actually figured out how to get set up on food stamps while living there and so he didn't even have to pay or food. he jsut sat around all day playing guitar and drinking rum. so there you go... if you wanna play the system. its not hard to grease the gears and become a welfare jumky. just do a stint in rehab. hell, you might even be able to get Section8 if you can convince a few crappy doctors you're a schizo.
