I used to drop hits a LOT in my teenage years, but I haven't done it since then. I'm 24 now. My trips were always very visual, very hallucinatory.

    So, I think I have a permanent flashback or after-affect. I don't know.
Every time I look at a shadow on a wall, it seems to grow, but it's not, i know that they're staying the same shape and size. But I see it growing, then shrinking, expanding, shadows molding into each other, wavering kind of. Then I blink and they're just normal old shadows. Look away. Look back, and they're tripping me out again. During the day, at home, at work, at night, anywhere anytime really.

I used to have this hallucination every time I tripped years ago. I do see tracers sometimes, too, especially when I'm tired. People's hands and arms moving too fast. Or streaks across a dark sky.
But it's mostly the shadow growing that affects me on a daily basis. Is that normal? I mean, it's kind of cool I guess, but not when you wake up in the middle of the night and your room is full of pulsating shadows in the dark. My lamp on the dresser always looks like a cloaked man in the corner with a tall hat on. I keep telling myself it's a freaking lamp and dresser, but when I first open my eyes, I can't help but see the freaky hooded hook-hand guy from "I know what you did last summer."

    What the fuck.

Just stop thinking about it, or begin to like it.

Because if you hate it, you will think it's lasting forever.

Yea I did take a lot. I remember one month I took about 40...Good idea when I'm a developing 17, 18 year old. It's definitely stronger when tired, or after staring at computer screen too long. Do you get the moving shadows too??

I'm only 19 and haven't dosed a lot, but i've tripped a few times on mushrooms and also on acid... i always see things shifting slightly, and slight trails behind things.

as far as i'm concerned, nothing's wrong because it doesn't actually interfere with anything... do you find it gets in the way?

    yes.

i think that about 50% of the people on the synthetic drugs forum report similar effects from time to time.

things like that have happened to me, and i've gotten over them....though i'm still sort of recovering from my last acid trip.

i used to notice a lot of colorful static on walls, and mild visual distortions when i would be sitting in class letting my mind wander, but those things happen to people who have never even tripped.

Being tired causes hallucinations. I remember I was so tired this one time before I ever smoked anything or tripped, and I was answering questions my mom wasn't asking... I hadn't slept in more than 40 hours, with a lot of strenuous activity thrown in there, and I was quite little at the time.

Get more sleep, that's the healthy solution to your problem. Anything else and you are just noticing normal human visual phenomena, all of which can be explained by the fact that you are trying to notice it...

Mine's worse than just moving shadows, when it's at it's worst, visually, it's like I've taken about 100ug LSD. Sometimes I'll even get patterning in the carpet and breathing walls. I even got quite strong CEV whilst trying to sleep a while ago. I think I might have to cut back on the shibbying for a bit, I can't be doing with my vision being like this forever.

It's not just lack of sleep, I was practically an insomniac when I was fifteen/sixteen and that was nothing like this. This started after I started on the MDMA and then came back a while after I started tripping a lot.

I've taken ALOT of acid, and I guess lucky for me I don't get this. For a few days after a trip sometimes I get slight distorions for a split second, like the letters on the TV will move and wiggle or something, but it always goes away.

Oh that reminds me, I see tiny purple neon dots on my black bath towel. And picture frames, they seem to grow, too, like the shadows.
Maybe I do notice it because I'm paying attention to it...
It doesn't interfere with my life, really, it's just there.

what a CEV? Yea you should take a break from tripping. Cuz if I'm having this 6 years after my last dose...yea.

CEV stands for closed eye visuals. All the stuff you see on LSD with your eyes closed.
Has yours got weaker over the six years? Or has it pretty much been like this the whole time?

This happened to me yesterday. I looked at some words, I don't even remember on what but it was just like the brand name of the microwave or something random, and the words were pulsating, shrinking and growing. I blinked a couple times and rubbed my eyes, it stopped, but then as I continued to look it started happening again. I was real stoned though. Idk if this has anything to do with my previous experiences with acid, but it was pretty crazy because it was just like when I trip.

If you smoke and have experienced tripping, then it's possible your weed high will never same.

I'm usually fine with weed. The exception is if I smoke with people for a whole day though, then I feel pretty fried by the evening.
