Advice new smoker

Hey I just started smoking and I am scared of either getting caught by my parents or the cops. Right now I keep it in a snus can in my shop. I'm 16 and live with my parents. Any advice on either? I wanna get high more but I can't because I'm afraid that my parents will smell it on me or notice it..

 

if you really don't want them to know you'll have to be extremely secretive for so long but its almost inevitable that they will find out. they'll get over it, unless you have some crazy strict parents.

 

Yeah, I hid mine for a few months (cigs, blacks, weed) for a while before my mom found out. Even though she was on my ass and all that, she doesn't say much now because she's a smoker and I think she knew I'd eventually pick up the habit.

I smoke all the time when my mom is downstairs and I'm upstairs in my room with my friend. The key here, even with closed windows, is to light an incent, and have spray on hand. We also usually smoke cigs after, which also quickly help cover up the smell. We are usually sitting down when we smoke bud, but when either of us spark up a cig I usually get up, and smoke it around the room to kill the smell. It usually works, but if you're high, you're going to be paranoid about them smelling anyway.

I can usually get over with being high and them not knowing because I wait at least half an hour to an hour before getting in their face, I take a cold rag and wipe off my face and neck, and usually switch my shirt. Behavior wise, just be natural. I've been high so many times around my parents I don't even get nervous about interacting anymore. I usually tell a shitload of jokes just as I do when I'm sober and we all laugh and they think nothing of it. The main thing I had to get over was slur talking when high and not finishing sentences. That's one way they may be able to tell. But, if you can actually finish your statements and don't slur, you should be fine.

We all get caught from time to time. Your parents probably will catch you. Shit, everybody I know has been caught at least once by family. It gets hard to keep under wraps for so long.

The cops aren't too big of a problem though. Just don't go party and drive or chances are you WILL get busted at some point. Happens to the best of us.

Just don't tell people unless you know they're cool and don't be stupid. It would have saved me a lot of trouble if I had just listened to people back in the day when I first started to party.

EDIT: Almost forgot, if your parents used to smoke then don't be surprised if when you get older they smoke with you. I never thought my mom would be cool with it. Now that weight is off of my shoulders as well.

Ya I know my parents use to smoke when they were younger but idt they do anymore and they always say how bad I is and how against it they are. I chew and they know that and don't care but ya...

 

The key to not smelling like pot is to chew some mint type gum and use a hand sanitizer. After you use the hand sanitizer run your fingers through your hair. I sometimes even rub some on my face after using it on my hands. Cuts the smell very quickly.

However, if it's the smoke you are worried about then don't smoke inside. If you have to use a sploof and open a window. I like to use a bowl with a lid on it. That way I toke and close the lid and then blow the smoke in a sploof.

Sploof = papertowel tube with fabric dryer sheets waded up inside.

 

either go outside and cheif they cant smell anything inside, or if you really want to smoke inside, do what startreken was saying about a spoof, with my experiences my parents have smelled it even when i used one, and i covered the bowl / killed the cherry. I just use my vaporizer now since that barly smells and gets my ass baked

 

Yeah, I would definitely opt that you go outside to chief if you think the chances of them smelling it inside are too great. If it's outside, and you're done, and they go out and can somehow smell it, nothing can point back to you. Usually when I go with my friend to buy weed, he always suggests smoking it outside, so we go to an abandoned garage, he rolls it up, and we smoke either half of a blunt or the whole thing. By the time we walk back to my house, we're fully high and there's absolutely no smell.

 

Don't smoke at home. If it is cigarettes, quit while you still can. How strict are your parents?

 

maybe you get lucky and have parents like mine.i have 2 brothers and a sister.all 4 of us are druggies including our parents.worse i do is smoke weed and pop benzos.but anyways when we were younger my mother would actually sit at the kitchen table smokin with my brothers and sister,at the time i didnt smoke or anything,didnt start my druggin till i was 29.

 

IMO, if you want to be really obvious, use incense. some people do honestly use incense just as fragments, and i have in the past... but i really never used incense much before i started smoking weed. your parents will definitely suspect you if you use incense.

find really good spots to smoke outside, in the woods, crouch down behind trees. inside, make sure you have a towel under the door (dont make it stick out though, of course). get a little fan, and make a spoof (a toilet paper tube with a sheet of fabric softener attached to the end) and you can exhale through that, past the fan and out the window. get clear eyes or visine or whatever. dont use axe like people do, smelling strongly of it is usually pretty obvious. just brush your teeth, eat something, go out for a walk, etc.

you might get caught, if you do, gl to you.

 

Incents don't make you look obvious. I always make sure that my mom has been upstairs and isn't coming back up for a while. I light an incent, we start smoking, I spray a little, and then put out the incent before she ever even knows it was lit. Abide by these rules and you won't get caught.

 

I was never caught.

I smoked out on the 3rd floor of my parents town home for years.
I would use a candle (Incents are bad for your lungs for one, and they are obvious..if your parents know the smell of weed they probably also know of incents)
Now...candles can get expensive and can potentially burn down the house so maybe save the candle for heavy smoke sessions.

I had 3 big windows on the 3rd floor and I would open all of them to smoke. I also controlled the temperature so the a/c wouldn't be blowing during my session.

I didn't even have a door...the staircase from the 2nd floor just ran up to the third with no door.

What I had going for me is that my parents are both cig smokers. They would smoke in the computer room on the 2nd floor..and that smoke would help conceal mine.

In all the years I was up there they only noticed smoke 3 times. They hate climbing stairs and they would just yell "something stinks up there" and I would say I lit a candle or something like that..or say "I smell it to, maybe the a/c is faulty>?"

The times that they smelt it were all during really hot or cold days where I barely cracked the window rather than having it opened all the way like usual.

Vaporizers conceal the smell a lot better. You are new to smoking though..and a vaporizer gets you sometimes uncomfortably high.

Guys having their doors closed and not opening the door right away does not necessarily mean they are using drugs, hehe....you just need to take care of the smell...

get yourself a one hitter...they are cheap..like $10 or less. You can go to a smoke shop and buy them...the one that looks like a cigarette works fine. Use a one-hitter and the aforementioned spoof and you should be good.

Be careful...some parents will slay your ass if they catch you. My friend got caught and his mom made him write an 8 page report about why he will never smoke again. She also made some of his friends do the exact same thing or threatened to call their parents!! :sifone:

My vap must be cheap or something. I do get really, really high from mine but it smells like I'm growing or something... It smells like somebody brought a pound through the door!

Wow a late bloomer. The good thing about that is you get all of your education out of the way and have established roots before hand(or at least I would think so). I wish I had waited until after school and a dab of life.

 

I'm doing just fine with school and my education even after starting smoking weed. And I'm glad I don't have to worry about my mom's friend doing some shit like that. His mom smokes weed, has smoked with him, knows I smoke, and isn't going to breathe a word 'cause she's cool like that. The only thing is my mom pretty much knows I smoke cigs at least, and I'm trying to alleviate suspicion from her, but at times I keep fucking up, so it's hard to do.

well she knows you smoke cigs.i can almost gaurantee that she knows your smokin weed as well.but some parents are cool as long as you keep up your education.if its starts to affect your grades you better bet she will say something

 

She only somewhat smelled weed in my room once, but hasn't said anything about it, and now adays when I smoke it she never smells it, or notices I'm high, so all she likely has are suspicions that I smoke weed.

 

Why do you say if it's ciggarettes quit while you still can? They are not very strict at all but they are pretty strict when it comes to smoking weed I am pretty sure.
