no. it augments it. but it will redirect your trip. so if your on a bad vibe and you take some xanax there is a pretty good chance you will get onto a better vibe.

benzos in general seem to take the visuals down a bit (patterns, swirling) but they leave the "soft glow" around everything, i've found. you definitely won't stop tripping, but it does smooth everything right out.

 

You could take enough to knock you out for a while, that'd end it. If you took a normal dose it'd just take the edge off and dampen the trip a little though.
