What do you collect?

Just curious as to everyone here collects?
I've been an avid antique collector for many many years...
I also collect;
vintage 1960's Barbie dolls
1950's lady head vase/planters
old mesh and beaded purses from 1900-1930's
vintage linens
china
hat pins from the victorian era
silver
cut glass
sterling silver cigarette cases
costume jewelry from the 20's 30's 40's and 50's
paper weights
antique napkin rings
Roseville pottery
antique beveled mirrors (I have them in every room)
dolls made in the depression era
art deco
vintage clothes
and many more things I'll remember as soon as I hit the submit reply key...

 

I collect figures, and coins. That's really about it. But then both those collections are pretty massive.

Otherwise CD's, books, Films- have a big selection of all. But not sure if they would really count, since everyone has that sort of gear.

 

Coin collecting is cool. I bought most of those American State Quarter sets (I missed out on the first -- the Silver Proof set is now worth several hundred dollars). But it was a lot of fun seeing all the cool designs for each state, etc.

I have collected about 400 DVD's.

I used to collect coins but now just keep some samples of late 19th and early 20th Century types. My birth year coins are all different than those today.

I also have a lot of books on sexuality and I suppose you could say I collect porn, both modern and 18th and 19th Century.

 

I never really thought of it as collecting but I have some old cars that I enjoy, a 1939 Chevy coupe, 1954 Cadillac,1956 Chevy pickup and a 1967 Impala ragtop. I'm not into car shows, just like driving 'em. For the last several years I have been collecting stone and rock, to the point that I have maybe 50 plus ton of large rock in the 50 to 500 pound range. Lots of 'em have been used in retaining walls, walkways etc. I'm getting ready to build a series of retaining walls to terrace the hillside in back of my place. Sooner or later a stone building will emerge from that big-ass pile of rocks I've got going. I'm too disorganzed to do much collecting...requires too much thought.

I collect vintage and antique radios and audio equipment. Tractors and I have a killer collection of Antique hand made and unusual bolts! I know.....fucking weird!

 

I collect friends, and sunshine and stars.

 

LJDV, That is an awsome collection you've got!
My currently active collections would have to be books, books of any kind so long as they're something of interest to me, I think I'm just under 1200 books in my collection and only 6 of them I haven't read (working on it though!)
I also like elephant stuff, mostly because I think they're funny.
Oh and I also seem to have an expansive collection of dust in my apartment too...does that count?

 

I'm not really a big collector..but I do have hundreds of CDs..and I'm a bit obsessed with candles. I have so many I've run out of room. I also collect books and herbs. I think that's about it.
