Back in 1984 at the age of nine I was absolutely enthralled with V I really enjoyed the infighting (cat-fighting) between the alien commander Diana and sub-commander Lydia As for this new series, I’m still not sure yet Hotwater
I loved it too. This one is good enough that I'm willing to watch it again. I like the way they've updated things to reflect societal concerns right now.
Indepence Day wasn't that great of a movie at all, it was just such fucking cool graphics and had good enough parts that it didn't matter.
You had to be around at the time to truly appreciate what was state of the art technology and visual effects :toetap05: Hotwater
I saw the original when it first came on tv, then later bought it on vhs, so I had to check out the new version, but turned it off half way through, it's just as I thought, they turned it into a soap opera, just as they did with Battlestar Galatica, both of which I think the original was far better. I wish they'd stop chopping up older classics and find new ideas... same goes with music. But hey, if you like it, then great, but I'll be watching NCIS.
I admit it was a bit cheesy at times but there was nothing soft-core about michael ironside (scanners, and walker texas ranger’s chief nemesis) as one of the resistance fighters Hotwater
The second epi was pretty good too. I'll keep watching despite putting an actress I and my daugther refer to as "corpse girl" as the resistance lead. Ugh.
I didn't know there was a remake of V. I remember a scene where the mothership was taking water up into the ship with huge pipes. Later i saw those pipes in real life. They suck water up from the Colorado river into California near Parker Az. Special effects wizardry.
