yea just a small drill bit and the center of the stick was softer than the rest of it so it was reall easy to just go in from either side and meet up in the middle

it hits WAY better than i ever expected it to... i mean i made it mainly just cause i was bored and wanted to see if i could actually do it, i didnt expect it to be such a good pipe, but recently ive been using it more than my glass pieces...

Looks good, you did a solid job on it. Any idea what type of wood it is? Back when I was like 15, I made a wooden spoon style bowl by taking a block of wood, drilling a hole and whittling the shape I wanted.

Nice. I made allot of my own smoking apparatuses when I was in high school. I usually did some sort of a jar bong, they all varied, but I always used a metal icing molder for a bowl... like this http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/icing_1.jpg

I never had successfully made a pipe though. I do remember spending a very long time over christmas break, like 3 years ago, trying to make a pipe out of lincoln logs, lol.

That's fantastic work. I've been planning to teach myself how to carve for a while now but I never got around to doing it. This gives me motivation.

very nice. I made my first pipe out of wood, i still used a metal socket for the bowl though. I even decorated it with colored beads. My dad found it though... :\
