Today when I dropped my 4 year old off at Preschool he looked at me and in his cowboy lil' voice said "See you later lil' lady" What was the funniest thing a child (any age) has said to you and how old were they?
that's cute the kids at work always draw me pictures and write me little notes yesterday this 8 year old girl who has typical development and is one of my favorites wrote my name down and had an adjective for every letter in my name for y she put young and at the bottom of the page put 'I know that you hate it when people say you're young but y's a hard one' The funniest thing is when little little kids try to guess your age and they'll either say like 75 or 14 to them both numbers are just so old.
For some reason (I don't know why) my name has changed to dude dad, my 10 y/o son starts every sentence with dude dad. Its kinda funny until we are out somewhere.
oooh and there is one girl at work who for a short time started calling me mom and called her mother by her first name I thought it was funny as hell...her mom did not.
My second cuz is 2 or 3 maybe even 4. I went up there about a week ago and he asked where grandma was. My mom said in the bathroom. So he looks at his dad and says are you going to go whipe her up daddy? We all started laughing.
When my daughter was little and not long out of diapers when she got a wedgie she would say her butt's tangled up.
Peanuts, that is so cute. my son- also 4; has been calling me Missy marvelous for about a week now. This morning i said- Ok time for breakfast Josh His reply- ok Missy marvelous. Where do they get this stuff? lol He also has a very interesting imaginary friend named Jack-boy.
So far mine do not have imaginary friends. They have their favorite stuffed monkey and dog with no names other than dog and monkey. My children say funny things but they say tons of sweet things, especially to me. My youngest has no trouble yelling "Hi Sweetie" waving at me like crazy when he is standing in line with all his friends at Preschool. My oldest son told me when he was 2 1/2 that I was doing a good job. It came out of the blue. I choked on the tears because it felt like he knew that is what I needed to hear. If I get dressed up, which for me could be a sweater and jeans, my boys will tell me that I look beautiful. I am very thankful they talk so nice to me. Sometimes they get a lil' smurkie (never any name calling) but for the most part they are very sweet.
I asked my 9yo if she still liked school. She told me no. I asked why, expecting her to say too much homework or yucky boys she thought about it and said "Generally, because there is learning involved" My friend's daughter is about 5. My friend thinks she hears the little girl getting into something. Sounding all formal, she calls her by her first and middle name, " Lonia Sade, WHAT are you doing?" her daughter answers, " I'm jumping on the bed, Miss Oxendine"
hehe peanuts that is adorable! when my little sister was four, she was so cynical. she used to go around saying "this is so ridiculous!" all the time. she also likes dumb blonde jokes.. funny seeing as how she is a blonde.. aww i love kids
