I got a dr appt tomorow for a horrible cough ive had for quite a while now. ive taken all kinds of over the counter medicines and nothing has helped. my question is what are the chances i will get a prescription for codeine or hydrocodone cough syrup? i dont wanna get my hopes up because with my luck ill probably just get some antibiotic
You have a very slim chance but there is always a chance. Just let him/ her know what meds you have taken and that they have provided no relief. Like you said you probably won't get it so don't get your hopes up. And you won't get any antibiotics unless you have pneumonia or TB.
Dr's don't like to hand out those type of medications for people our age. I doubt you will get any sort of narcotic for a cough, although it depends on the doctor. You will get antibiotics if you have any sort of infection, especially if it is strept throat.
yeah it does depend on your doctor but it's unlikely you'll get anything great. you might get hydrocodone syrup with scopolamine... my aunt was prescribed that, i'm pretty sure it's tossed in there so people don't abuse it.
Wow, Scopolamine? That is pretty harsh to put with something that is so widely abused...that could really seriously injure someone. That is really insane to add something so deadly just to divert people from abusing something that is relatively fine in recreational doses. I guess that is why they are going to be taking all of the APAP containing pain medications off the market soon. Bye bye Vicodin, Lortab, Percocet! Haha, god I can't stand fucking APAP containing pills, good riddance!

i got some stuff called tessolor which there is no information about on the internet at all. i typed it up how it looks like its spelled on the prescription and nothing came up and there are no spelling suggestions. its 100mgs. im really confused as to why i cant find NO info about this medicine. i figure id go home, look it up online and find out of its any good or not but no, nothing at all.
