you know where the term "drunk as a skunk" came from?

ethanol has more calories than sugar, and animals smell it and are attracted to it. they'll drink until they are wasted. i believe it was aristotle wrote about trapping monkeys for food. a bowl of wine would be put out, the monkeys would come and get hammered and someone would conk them on the head. he said if you waited, the monkeys would become hung over and hold their heads in their hands.

also somalian monkeys were watched, and they would build a tolerance to alcohol. some can consume the equivalent of 8 human alcoholic drinks, and have no problem navigating and swinging through trees.

they also noted there was heightened sexual activity.

I remember reading that apparently one of the greek philosophers laughed himself to death when he got his donkey drunk and watched it trying to eat figs off a tree.

Went christmas shopping but didn't buy anything. Went to the german christmas market and drank a very nice "pint" of wheat beer and was then drawn by the smell of meat and coals to get some sausage bun combo of a very nice german lass who was built to last and gave me meat, and thus I found her to be attractive.

I love wedgwood. I wish I had money to road trip to Stafford and splash out in their factory outlet. I am too in love with their dinner sets.

 

Lol My housemate's nan gave her parents a wedgwood dinner set for a wedding present, it was one of the rarest (she is a collector or something) and when laura(housemate) was younger she had her cousins and some kids her dad childminded round, and they were playing hide and seek, and kocked the wardrobe that this dinner set was ontop of and it fell off and all of it got smashed >< Never been able to find a replacement and her nan still doesn't know!! Lawls
