Omg. I'm praying right now that I don't have one. I'm only 20 years old and didn't think it could happen to me so early. Basically, I had a sharp pain start yesterday in my lower back/side area. I thought it was just a kink or knot. Well it got worse. And It would hurt at certain times. Well i've been pissing alot today. I've been drinking plenty of water just in case.. And just a few moments ago the pain went away. All of it. I still feel a little pressure every now and then. I'm just hoping its not real big or that it dissolves in my urine. I've been drinking LOADS of chocolate milk, milkshakes, reg milk, and eating cheese for the past week. I'm scared to death of what is going to happen. Can someone ease my mind? Or at least tell me whats going on?! PLEASE?!
OK HXChild, There really isn't a "too young" to have stones. My first experience hit in the middle of the night when I was 23. I fell out of bed screaming in pain and certain that death was near. The pain was blindng, I couldn't walk, could only barely speak. Friends took me to the hospital where a ER Doc took one look and said Stones. From what you have described you could have stones, or maybe a urinary tract infection. Don't mess around with this. Go see a doctor. It might well be that you passed a small stone and everything is OK. Maybe the stone simply moved and isn't hurting at the moment. Maybe it's just a UTI and some antibiotics will be called for. Stones are absolutely one of the worst pains you can experience. Look at a stone with it's razor sharp edges, if it's any size at all it will cut the hell out of your urinary tract when it moves. You can piss blood and you can end up extremely ill if you don't get it resolved. Sometimes they simply pass on their own, sometimes they need to be removed. There are various ways to remove them, either by manually going up the ureter or via ultra-sound. Just get it taken care of. If there is an up side, the doctors understand the level of pain and will snow your ass with drugs till its all over. Good luck.
Damn man good luck with that. I had an uncle an aunt who got fucked by kidney stoned. I don't think one week of even hardcore dieting for a week would cause it though... but is it true that you have to piss them out...? OUCH holy shitt
Well I have good news. Last night I went to the ER and they did a cat scan. Even though I had to sit there for 3 hours they come to tell me I didn't have one. And If I did I had already passed it. They then told me if not it was prolly a muscle strain. But a strain doesn't just come on by itself. And it doesn't go away when you take tylenol. So idk...
