Does anyone have anything that helps with GI problems when taking psychedelics? Sometimes when I take (example) molly, my GI system will hurt during and sometimes after I take it. Maybe there are some herbal remidies out there?? I know that there are a lot of other people that have this problem with a variety of psychedelics.

It's all subjective; sometimes i will be pretty nauseous, but sometimes not at all.

try eating some fresh ginger like 20minutes before you dose...it works surprisingly well. I've also heard good things about papya seed extracts, but anything you would HAVE to buy from a healthfood store will be pretty expensive...I get like 10 doses out of a dollar or 2 of fresh ginger.

some people like to take benadryl/dramamine, but i'd stay away from those, as they are both somewhat psychoactive.

her problem is GI pain. you can try cramp remedies, Midol or any light painkiller. avoid spicy or sugary foods when tripping, and avoid alcohol, and these symptoms may lighten.

Lower GI tract, intestine area. I don't really feel sick like I am going to puke, just pain in the GI tract.

I don't drink alcohol at all, and would never on any other drug than marijuana. And I don't really eat when on many psychedelics until it is wearing off. I have tried ginger root when I had stomach pains / sickness when pregnant, it does work well. I might try a tylenol next time :)

I'm addicted to marijuana because it helps me with most of my long lasting GI issues, among other things.

I am a habitual weed smoker. It helps alot, but when I take some chemical drugs it causes discomfort. A mild pain killer might help for the pain, I was just wondering if anyone can explain what the chemicals do to your body that cause that pain. IDK if anyone has done that kind of reseach.

Your stomach/GI haves serotonin receptors. Psychedelic chemicals bind to serotonin receptor in brain, but also in stomach/GI.

Thanks kobilica! That does make sense. So if it binds to the receptors, is it doing any damage? If it causes damage to the receptors in the brain, would it to the GI tract also?

There's no damage being done, no. I also don't think the pain is from serotonin receptor mechanisms, the more likely answer is just simple gut pain from chemicals.

Cool. I don't do chems often, and I leave time between doing them also. I am getting some 5-meo-mipt, which I have not tried before. We shall see if I have the same problems as I have not done this one yet.

i have this exact problem as you. even when i take LSD. i'm gonna trip less frequently, try to avoid eating for a few hours before dosing, try some fresh ginger before dropping, and whatever else is suggested.

psychedelics binding to serotonin receptors might not cause damage, but it certainly causes changes. and with prolonged use the changes can become long term. so i think the same can be true for the GI tract. maybe some chemicals (2ce?) have a higher affinity for receptors in the GI tract, while another chem (LSD?) has higher affinity for serotonin receptors in the brain. this is all just pure speculation, but i just wonder what's going on too.

    Take fresh ginger!
The other night I took 50mg of 2ce with about 2 grams of fresh ginger chopped up and capsuled.. no nausea at all. Works wonders.

I might try some ginger with my Syrian Rue/Mushroom combo for Thanksgiving :) And since I have 5 days off, I might try my Red Ferrari's that I have too... IDK yet since I took Mushrooms/E last Thursday.
