Great fucking album right there. I love it so much I'm thinking about getting it as a half sleeve from my shoulder to my elbow. Not anytime soon though.

Not bad, but I have several other bands that sound just like them, however, here an older one you may like, check it out. it's a band called Dismember, Override the Overture, from the cd Like an Ever Flowing Stream, which I think was their best stuff. They have their similarities but they are nothing like Skeletonwitch for the most part. Same thing with Dimmu, except for the similarities part.
Granted, I haven't heard much of their music, but from what I did play on you tube, I wasn't impressed, they sound like a hundred other bands of the same type... but that's only my opinion. I'm glad you like them though, bands need a good following to keep going. And I'd rather have metal bands around over rap and country any day. Peace bro
I really haven't heard anyone that sounds remotely like them. I guess its because theres something I hear in them that some people don't hear. But definitely, bands like this need to get bigger and bigger.
Yeah thats the only downside, usually shorter than 3 minutes. But fuck, its badass music with great musicianship.
I'd rather have short songs with a shitload of riffs and great transitions and rhythm changes than a longer more rehashed song.
I wish they would write like one epic song of atleast 6 minutes, which is epic by their standards. They have the musical talent to do so and make it really good.
