today i was at the store looking for half pint jars, i couldn't find ANY jars except for 4oz, and i wasn't sure if that was enough.. i bought the jars anyway since they were on sale, and kept the receipt just in case... i come and check how many pints 4oz equals, and it's only .25 of a pint. i was wondering if this container is too small to use for cultivation? and if so where do you get half pints, i've checked at the grocery store and wal mart and can't find em. thanks!
They'll work just fine, but you'll need more of them since they're smaller. I need to get some myself for Cyans.
yeah... they were on sale but they only had 2 left so i got them just in case. i'm going to have to find a few more though.
It seems really hard to find wide mouth 1/2 pints now at stores, but they are available online. It seems like the 4 oz will be really small, especially with the vermiculite layer on top having to be just as deep as on a 8oz. But....I don't know. I guess it will be faster to colonize which would reduce contamination....so maybe they'd be better in some ways.
i've been ordering everything online and i actually got out figuring there would be these jars... they seem like they'd be more common then they are
I guess I haven't looked on line in a while...they used to have them. They told me at a hardware store a while ago that they stopped making them, but at that point you could still order on line.
forever.. I used these damn large ones \ fluctuate temps cause they will contaminate really easy.. thats a big time waste and you have to start all over.. and potentially toxic green mold can also ruin any future grows..
