Heh, funny. My buddies and I just played poker last night. Nickel, Dime, Quarter with a dollar limit on bets and a $20.00 buy in. How is that for high risk? I walked away with $2.85 extra to my name and counted myself lucky. It's not about the poker anyway, just a bunch of buddies hanging out and having fun. But cool beans for you. Glad you had fun. Just remember there is always someone better.

No limit texas holdem, he was claimin how good he was so I was like aight 100$ gets u a hundred in chips, I was down 120 from some suckouts, but I bought back in cuz I had his game figured out after about 10 hands.....And yea reken I know there's ppl better than me, and I wouldn't have bought back in if I thought he was better but I knew his game and it was all over, he's one of those guys if you show one bluff they will call you down with Ahi lol

 

I used to play poker a lot years ago,but I've never played hold 'em.7 card,5 card,Hi-Lo,71/2 -271/2---all the old stand -bys.I like watching hold 'em,but it's obvious a man can lose his ass in a second with a wrong decision.

 

yea I get into omaha, lowball, seven stud, and razz but this is usually only if it's dealers choice games. This was just a guy who happens to be my pot dealer and wanted to play, and I'm always down to throw atleast a bill if I'm gonna play

 

Myself.Last time I played,we ended the night with in- between.(no skill there!) and I walked with 3 bills.Took everyone and their wives to breakfast.On them ,of course.

 

i learned how to play "penny poker" when i was like 5 (5 card and 7 card - and variations with wildcards like follow the queen, king and your low hole, baseball) i've never heard of some of those other ones - razz, Hi-Lo,71/2 -271/2?

i'll play hold em too, but it's for 5-20 bucks.

 

I think the highest stakes I've played at a casino was 5/10 blinds and I sat in with 1k, cards were pretty bad that night so I think after the cost of the hotel room and ex ol lady blackjack habit I broke even.
