Outside of the Bible is there any evidence that proves the Egyptians had at one time enslaved and murdered thousands of Jewish people? I guess it would be important to add that I am in no way anti Semitic.
Somebody, anybody, with an actual argument for or against? That would help please and thankyou and pretty please.
The only evidence the bible provides is raw information in the form of written language. It is taken from a collection of sources. It has been translated, edited, translated, edited, and even voted upon. A process that is still occurring. All of this involves interpretation. One mans victor is another mans barbarian. We should probably take characterizations like enslaved and murdered with a grain of salt. I don't know of any mass burial sites or how one would identify them as Jewish.
Yeah I dont think that the bible is a credible source for knowledge about the world and its history. Somebody should make an argument using evidence from a credible source.
If what you say is right then there is no credible source that 95% of what is written in any bible is true. Is there a credible source stating that Jesus was crucified like it said in the bible, NO... Is there a credible source saying that the old testament OR the new testament has any truth in it, NOT REALLY.
rudenoodle..... why don't just let things be? that being said, i'm sure that there must have been slavery of some kind over there because all the recorded documents of the slave market, there could also be evidence in the bodies that were just tossed in a ditch instead of burial... but then again those could be any race of impovershed people
no, its in my textbook for p.a.s. and this is a source that i trust because it covers many differant theorys by lot's of people. it is a very good book..... by the way, can you disprove that egyptions enslaved the jewish?
There is an Egyptian text from 1400BC that mentions the "Habiru" people which is similar to Hebrew. Then there's the Egyptian text "Maxims of Amenhotep III" that shares many similar saying with Proverbs. So there is some evidence outside the Bible for a Jewish/Egypt link.
Some are suggesting that Amenhotep III and Solomon were the same person. http://www.domainofman.com/ankhemmaat/solomon.html
