Rubberbands helped my roots a hell ton Palm rolling is not a myth, flat dreads exist and need to be taken care of Dreads that split/fall apart should be repaired immediately or they just become worse. You can use anything that binds the hair together, like a bead or aloe. no they didn't, no they don't, no they won't, you could, but you don't need to.
I'm not a commie, I'm not trying to sap or impurify your precious bodily fluids... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1KvgtEnABY
actually, HERE'S a video documenting exactly how much palmrolling and rubberbands do work... you're welcome by the way...
I seriously thought I would never be rick roll'd in this forum. Also- ripping is helpful. That is all. Also again- Is there such thing as conductive reasoning? I know of 'inductive' and 'deductive', but..... eh.
I thought it was inductive and capacitive Anyroad, palmroll and root flip and whatever the fuck else all you want, you'll get nice round uniform dreads, all the people at your college, unemployment queue whatever will think you have awesome dreads. Then someone with hardcore dreads will come along and they will know your a douche and you won't even be able to look them in the eye. As for lacky bands, I think I still have some embedded in some of my tips, DO NOT WANT
Surely not conductive though.... This sneaky kid tied some yarn in my hair a while back and I couldn't find it until today, it was becoming one with my dread it was attached to. and squishy. Removing that was my maintenance for the year.
sometimes i rip 'em apart because its fun, but even that isn't necessary. also, my ex-gf got me some beads for my dreads, but i don't want them in forever so i'm gonna take them out soon.
I have to rip mine or I would have a giant helmet of dread at this point. But I have found that ripping is close to futile so I have resorted to scissors.
I strongly suspect that lock maintenance is another one of those "it really depends upon your own hair" things. Like conditioning...some people do not do it & do not need to. others, who have super dry-dry hair have to condition in some way. There's no "right or wrong."
I know of this "helmet" you speak of. Not cool, not cool at all. But scissors... intriguing.... That doesn't make your hair look all wonky or anything? Or fall out? I've been thinking of this, but am a wee bit scared.
Well after I posted my dread question in ask the old hippies I found the dreadlocks forums anyway I did no work at all to mine I started rolling one when I was in Burlington but it didn't help it so I stopped I can see maintenance helping them start but I let my hair dread so I didn't have to fuck with it... so I don't I do wish my head would hurry up but I'm in no rush but I have a feeling they will never look alright there's sections of loose hair not fat enough to dread well it knots but never gets tight
I do'nt think it looks any wonkier than if I hadn't. And I have found a total of maybe ten loose hair since I dreaded my hair 8 months ago, so nope, it's not falling out. I'm not too sure about the pieces that are left shorter on my head yet from the cutting, but when I ripped, it seemed to separate the hair and kind of undo my dreads from the pulling and tension. Kinda hard to explain exactly what I mean.... But if you rip, you likely know what I'm talking about. I thought about just pulling hte hair out of the wrong dread, but that seems backwards since if it found a home and is happy there, it should just stay there. lol
