u want to keep ur dreadies yeah?

i had dreads for many years and i can tell u that id nver spent more time on my hair than whan i had them even though people think theyre dirty and u can just leave them.

if u want the thin ones to be chunker then get a felting needle or a crochet needle but make sure its metal and quite small. then just get two thin dreads and crochet them together, then do a lot of palm rolling and they should stay together to form one bigger dread. if u have one big dread that splits into two whispy ones and u want the two then ur gonna have to rip it from the end to the roots... this might hurt a little though. i tried dr ronners but it didnt seem to get my hair clean and made it too shiny. in the uk there is a company called lush. they do vegan solid shampoo bars and they worked a treat. also dreadhead hq do vegan stuff. i found the solid shampoos weere better, plus u dont have tones of empty plastic bottles lying around :)

once uve had ur dreads for about a year they wont need so much work and u can pretty much leave them be most of the time, but u may find that the ones underneith at the back of ur neck get natty so remember to work on those too!!!

whatever u do DO NOT USE WAX!!! people put wax on their dreads cus they dont want the fuss of working on them so much but if u look at someone who has had dreads a long long time and they used wax u will see that their hair is full of tiny white specks which looks nasty- this is all the years of wax build up and its pretty rank. plus u cant just use wax once, u have to keep using it and 9% of the time its bees wax ( just incase ur vegan and didnt know bout the wax used)
good luck my friend and happoy dreading
    xx
